When he was younger, he was the one who always had the jokes and riddles that would keep the spirits of the Spartans high. Over the years however, his lifetime of combat had hardened him, as it had all of the Spartans. Within Will, John thought, something special had been lost.

When any organization like this becomes "a business" something is lost. They are great, they are successful, they are wealthy, but they don't owe any of that to "good business sense".
If they were business minded why the break from M$? M$ does what a business does, it looks out for itself. It shows in it's their products. It's why there were upwards of 3 different grades of Xbox. It's why they have to have 4 different versions of their operating systems. They range from crap to decent enough instead of decent enough to awesome. You pay a premium for a decent experience, when that decent product should be the version that sets the bar at the standard price. It's why there's another halo coming out, it's why they're going to milk the franchise to death. It's going to make them money that's all. And they'll sell the Chief and that universe like a ho on a street corner till it's so used and trodden on that no one will pay for it anymore. The list goes on and on, and M$ has shown time and again that it is nothing more than a business. Come the seventh, Halo is dead to me.
If Bungie were such a business they would have never split from M$. Their ideals more than conflict they are near opposite.

but by all means watch the whole thing. I really feel like it hits the points I'm trying to make about what sets Bungie apart from so many other "businesses". It's that they are not "business" minded. Money is not the reason they do what they do. I mean all the money they could be making on their 20th? Where's that going? To charity..
