Subject: The Impersonations needs to stop.

Seventh Column Contests

Just let it go, not a huge deal. It's not that hard to seperate one from another. To me, it's not a huge deal. It should be the same with you guys.

Well I am not very proficient in this area, but I think it would be hard too.

It's not hard to find an impersonator. For instance, look on the front page. There's one there. Best way to get rid of them? Don't pay attention. Ignore anything they post. It's not that hard.

I myself don't really care. The "impersonators" can knock themselves out. Like someone really cares a lot about their "rep" on Bungie.net. It's an online forum, get over it, live into now!

Amen!

WTH? Where did my reply go? No reason for it to be erased, or is there? I guess I must of brought up a really valid point for my post to be erased by Bungie. Since other than spam, only good posts that show how it is are locked.

And again I ask, why was my post erased? I just brought up the simple facts of why "impersonation" is so easy on Bungie.net. I guess a little constructive criticism is something you can't handle over there. Like how:

-Bungie cant/wont IP ban
-There are huge loopholes in the system, namely a ban only lasts 2 days (that's a permanent ban)
-A person can easily make a false name by using the text lookalikes: lvl=M, I=l (i=L),
rn=m, O=0, etc.
-They choose ignorance instead of a fix

But I guess that's some reply that's better to erase than show and try to explain right? Ha, go figure. All I know is a ban doesn't work on this site. Which is exactly why they're choosing to ignore it rather than fix it. Explain that, or erase it like the other post, just next time erase a less active user's post, that way it goes unnoticed.

I was just about to mention the fact that nobody noticed that... but now they can't notice it. Ignore the guy and report any accounts that are impersonations to bnetmods@gmail.com. I will now lock this because giving attention to this person will only make him do it more often to annoy you.

Edit: And Biff, I don't know why your post was erased. I can only assume your post was accidentally erased instead of the impersonator's.
