I really want to be a bungie employee, I mean, bungie and halo in general have enspired me to start programming and animation, but I live in scotland, so does that mean I can't be a bungie employee?

I was joking lol

Bungie is in Washington though so to work there it would probably help if you were in Washington too.

I'm not sure it would help with money though, and i'd doubt that bungie would spend £1000+ just to get me there :(

Find some extra jobs to earn some money on the side. Then save up for the move to Washington. Though, I would really encourage looking for other small companies to work for to build your resume.

Thanks, I think that may just work :)
[EDIT] Working for Ruffian and Rockstar North may also work if they accept me :)

If your just the talent they're looking for, im sure that they would relocate you.

On a side note, I hear Scotland, and Ireland are becoming hot spots for game developers.

I'm not entierly sure on that, with the government putting taxes on game developers and all :(

I may seem to come across as a -blam!-, but I'm really just trying to help.

While I don't know how old you are, I wish you the best of luck. Although I think it'd be best to make sure you have gone to college to get a degree in whatever it is you want to do and work at a somewhat local studio for experience, and it'll look better on your resume for Bungie.

I love how some of the people here think it's easy to just up and move to another country.

OP, try to find something in your country. There may not be anything in the way of high-end companies like Bungie and Microsoft Game Studios, but there has to be something. Maybe you could get involved in a company while it's still small and help it grow.

Moving to the US is not that easy. It took my wife's aunt and uncle 26 years to immigrate legally.

We were somewhere around Barstow...

I don't know about Ireland being a hotspot for developers, although the Havok engine was built by guys from Ireland I believe. Several big companies do have large projects here in Ireland, like Google, because of the low corporation tax.

I wish you luck

make sure you have at least your bachelor's, line up your career for what jobs are available, and search for internships.

It is going to be a long process, but if you are involved it should work out for you :)

If you live in Scotland, just get engaged to a current employee's daughter. Seems to have worked quite well from what I've seen. ;)
