Subject: Myth: The Fallen Lords...

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Thanks, and if you need help finding games, you can just PM me. I can show you how to get literally every game from Gnop, Operation Desert Storm, Pathways into Darkness, to Marathon Trilogy (all through digital legal downloads). Also I can show you were to buy copies of the Myth Trilogy and Oni.

And FYI, the jackpots would be any of the following for people to know.

Boxed copy of Operation: Desert Storm (I know they exist, but less than a two thousand sold in 1991)
Boxed copy of Minotaur (Only about two thousand copies sold, know of one copy to be sold, Child's play)
Boxed copy of Super Marathon (I want so bad, made for the Apple Pippin, seen few copies sold, idk if Bungie still has them. From what I understand very obscure changes from the Marathon and Durandal.)
Floppy drive with Gnop source code. Oh how I want.
Oni Beta build with multiplayer. (doubt it)
Myth II soundtrack. (never seen a copy sold)
Halo 3 Media/Press kit (Didn't think they would be selling them)

Mild jackpot:
Marathon's boxed copies
Myth boxed copies
Oni boxed copies
Limited Bungie Shirts
Boxed copy of Pathways into Darkness

That sounds really cool. I really want to try to get a physical copy over a digital one.

But, it is amazing to see all the games Bungie has made that aren't halo.

I find it sad that people that have no idea what these are will be receiving them, and the only reason they actually want it because it's limited and it's in a wooden box. I've been wanting one since they formally showed them at the Child's Play auction in 2008.

I KNEW ABOUT IT BEFORE YOU!

Stop this, you sound like a jackass. As a Myth fan, I'd hate for these to end up on eBay but hopefully these old school games will get more people involved in the dwindling Myth/Marathon community.

I hope I get one so I can empty the contents into the trash and use it to store the entire Halo collection.

If I sound like a jackass, so be it. Now that I look back, I do kind of sound like a hipster. Either way, the basis of people wanting it, I believe is absolutely true.

And people don't have to have a Wood Box copy of Myth to join the Myth community. You can find a copy of Myth on ebay or Amazon with relative ease, for about $10. If people wanted to be in the community, they would probably already be in it and they could easily join. Same thing goes with Marathon, no real excuses there since you can get it free on PC, lol. XBLA is a different story.

Edit: Also Spartain is correct about the Media Kit. It's a version of the game they give to special people or companies to check out the game. You can see a copy here.

While I agree with everything you mentioned, I still don't think anyone "deserves" one of these over anyone else. Sure, you may be able to appreciate it more than others, but hell, there's plenty of self-proclaimed "Bungie fans" on here who would love having any rare old school games in their collection, whether or not they've actually tried it.

You're probably right in the idea that anyone that was legitimately interested in joining the Myth/Marathon community would have already done so (My attempt at linking the demo seems to fail), but you sound like an entitled prick, running around like you're better than others because of your rather ancient game knowledge.

I would love to have the wooden box edition of Myth.

I really want to play the games of Bungie's past.

I don't know if I deserve it but I would be honored if I got such a rare and treasured copy of Bungie's game.

I never said that I deserved a Wood Limited edition copy of Myth. All I said that I find it sad that people will be receiving a copy of the Myth Wood Box edition because a majority of the people that are buying Bags O' Swag wouldn't fully appreciate it. Majority of the community today is about 95% Halo fans, and wouldn't truly understand how special and rare it is like you and I, or anyone that is from the Myth community.

I know that there is no true way to make sure that the Wood boxes to Myth fans now instead of back in 1999. And to be honest, I'm rather glad that these boxes are landing in some Bungie fan's arms and are getting out behind Bungie's locked doors (where they have laid for 14 years), and give me the possibility of purchase one, for possibly like $200, lol.

And without a doubt it would make and amazing collectors item. It's up there with the boxed editions of Minotaur and Operation: Desert Storm. Sorry if I sound like a prick.

Suddenly I want to spend money.

EDIT: I hope it comes with the latest TFL patch, or most of the people who don't know what Myth is won't bother with it.

Should put a copy of Myth 2 in there as well, so they can play online.

You certainly implied it. Either way, I hope whoever gets some of the rarer swag posts it on eBay so I can buy it.

Everything I said was true. I've been seeing people posts about how bad they want it, but probably have never come across a copy Myth. I see it some what like the "Recon" affect. If the armor had shipped with the game, almost no body would have cared about it. Make it exclusive and rare, everybody wants it. People say the Myth Wood Box is rare and extremely limited everyone wants it. And I have want to get a copy since that Child's Play auction. I should have left that part out though.

Selling my wooden box on ebay. Anyone who is interested can check it out. I'm a die hard halo girl and not really into myth. I would rather a hardcore fan have it!

Someone is selling their myth wooden box for 50 bucks by itself with no items included by the looks of the pictures. Who would pay 50 bucks for a wooden box? -_-

*gets credit card

No but seriously what is this Heresy?

That wooden Box is VERY, VERY, VERY RARE, it is a personal gift from Bungie.

Come to think of it, the girl who got the wooden Box from her swag bag had nothing in it either.

Coincidence.... -_-

Wow, "Listing is for box itself"...

I would have loved to get one of Bungie's old games in the Bag of Swag I received, sadly I didn't. Oh well, what I got was still more than the $76 or however much it was I paid xD

To anyone who gets this who fully appreciates it and knows what it is, well done and enjoy it!

I love the soundtrack for the game, can't get enough of it xD

Listing for the box itself? That takes the fun out of everything.

I wouldn't consider it VERY, VERY, VERY RARE. It all truth it is very rare, but from what I've seen, there are rarer things to come from the swag bags. Don't have to hype these as much as they already are

The thing is, we don't know how many were made, just rough estimates. Only so many were given out, and that was around the time of the release of the game, so somewhere in 1997. And who knows what basement they are currently laying in today. I only know of one confirmed release of the box and game. There could have been 100 given out for all I know.

Some of the concept art from the swag bags are in all sense probably rarer. Super Marathon still wrapped, probably rarer. Hell, there might be more of the Wood Boxes out there then one of the "I made it" Halo shirts out there.

I'm just saying, its definitively not the rarest thing I've seen from the swag bags. But the only thing is that it's one of the things that everyone wants that is rare.

Why would anyone buy that? It's just a wooden box that say's myth on it, there's nothing inside.
