Has anybody completed Halo 2 on Mythic Difficulty yet?

Nobody that can prove it. The real pros that claimed H3 and Reach Mythic would have posted but no, I don't believe anyone has posted. Heh, there would be something on YT>

For people who don't know, Mythic difficulty for H2 does not exist. However, if you turn all skull on it is the same as playing Mythic (don't get this confused with the Mythic skull). So....turn all skulls on and we call it playing SLASO. A lot of us say it is impossible, although once every couple of years someone pops in and says "Oh yeah, I beat it SLASO and it wasn't that hard". Then you ask a couple of questions and the guy vanishes from the forum.

So no, it hasn't been done yet.

Also, I just noticed, you've been here since 2009 and yet they have you tagged as 'Member'.

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

Can switching to gieco really save you 15% or more on car insurance?

Is Halo 2 SLASO impossible?

...I've done it with a friend of mine back in the day. I think. I remember staying over and we spending the entire day getting all the skulls through campaign to give it a shot to do it. I remember it being such a pain to collect all of them. I dont recall if we actually completed all of it with it on or not though. Too my knowledge we did >.> we may have ended up giving up after 3 days though because it was too hard an we got stuck. As i've said it was quite some time ago and i don't remember.

Of course anyone saying it wasn't hard would be a lair, it was hard and pain just getting all skulls on. It also took the whole day.

And you need to be active on the forums to get labeled something else grumpy. He probably has had his account for those couple years just never used the forums, so therefore hes only a member.

No deaths and no saves? It's impossible on most levels.

It took me 1 hour 30 minutes just to get to the hangar on Cairo Station (then again, I did try to get Johnson to the hangar and I had several failures). And the Armory skull wasn't on.

Anyways, I can say for a fact that if the level is long, it's certainly impossible (because you have very little health and weak shields, although Mythic allows you to survive longer) unless you can skip most of it.

As far as I know, the only feasible levels are (in order of difficulty easy to hard):

Metropolis

Outskirts (because you have it easy since you can get out of the map). The hotel part is mostly dependent on luck. If the Elite doesn't see you before you cloak, you can assassinate him. Then you would take out that gunner obviously. And then you cloak past the hotel Covie goons and jump down and go to the Ghost.

But there's that evil Jackal sniper in that tower. Since you didn't get to pick up any snipers (unless you get it from Johnson), you have to position the Ghost at a certain location, but first find cover from the Phantom. When it's gone, get out of the Ghost, throw a plasma grenade behind it, get back in, and if you did it correctly, you should be on the structure overlooking the area. Use your sniper or Ghost bolts on the Jackal sniper and the heavy Grunt manning the turret.

After that, I have no idea how to get past the Covies.

Yeah, SLASO is hard enough without no deaths and no saves. I do know Cody Miller went through just in Legendary (no skulls) and he did it with no deaths and he didn't save. He filmed it all to prove it, amazing vid.

As far as I'm concerned, just playing SLASO is impossible to complete all levels in one run.

I'm pretty surprised that he managed to get through flood levels without dying on legendary. Grumpy1 you got a link to the video, I just want to see what he did to survive those missions with the flood without dying.

I would like to see the video where one guy brought Johnson through Cairo Station. The video doesn't load for me.

Here it is.

It would be really convenient if someone could upload it to YouTube. Or has it been deleted? :(

Edit:

Never mind. Long loading time lol

@Grumpy1

Do you have an explanation for why I suffer this headshot glitch problem that I've been telling people about?

I'll ask NOKYARD about it. It does not play for me either. I'll ask him tomorrow.

OK it works.

@SG - Maybe explain the problem again about the headshots.

No need. I finally got it to load by leaving it in another tab. The quality is horrendous. D:

Well, it doesn't matter how close I am to the enemy. You can see in some points of my videos I'm trying to get headshots on Grunts and they rarely suceed. I suspected it was the strong autoaim but when I tried regular Halo 2 Vista without the dev trainer, I got headshots with ease. I'm not sure if this occurs in Xbox, which is why I'm curious.

----

I now see how he managed to move Johnson. Because he flinches. Ghost skull makes it more difficult to move Johnson so I had to melee scenery and place them at strategic locations to bring Johnson to the hangar.

It feels great to move that huge box via melee.

I don't know about headshots on Grunts, I get headshots fine with my box.

You are one of the few who understands the Ghost skull.
