Bungie.Match.com: Our Johnson knows what the ladies like.

They are a race made by the Precursors thousands of years ago. They were extremely advanced, surpassed only by the Precursors. They looked slightly like Humans, although only as adolscents (SP?) They live for thousands of years, always wear armor, and their skin color was extremely varied. They could be pink, grey, blue, etc. Also, they had a hairy patch on their shoulders for some weird reason.

The forunners were a peaceful but also an extremly advanced civilization that colonized most of not all of the Milkyway Galaxy over 100,000 years prior to Combat Evolved. They would at somepoint make first contact with the parasetic lifeform we know as the flood. After many centuries of war between the two factions, The forunners realized they could not win against the flood onslot due to their vast numbers so as a last resort they constructed the Halo array and gathered all lifeforms in the galaxy and brought them to the ark. Similar to the story of Noah's ark. They activated the Halo's, destroying all life in the galaxy. Then waited a long period of time before they populated the galaxy again with it's life forms. This includes: elites, prophets, grunts and anything else you can think of. The forunners are in fact humans, but after the Halo fired they all went exstinct, so their machines would replicate humans once again but instead of everything going back to normal, the Forunners (humans) have to start all over (technology wise) because their machines cannot replicate knowledge. And then the rest is history.

Wrong in many things:
-Humans were the first to make contact with the flood
-Tha array was already built before the flood came back
-Humans aren't Forerunners,brethren species yes,but different
-Forerunners aren't "exstinct"

I guess you never heard of Cryptum right?

Yes they are, are you saying that the forerunners declared war on the flood and the humans? Because they sure as hell didn't.

The book made the Forerunners seem more xenophobic and xenocidal than the IoM of 40k canon.

Wasn't it the Forerunners declared war on humanity after they invaded forerunner space from losing colonies from the Humanity-Flood war?
I thought they viewed Humans as naturally aggressive and violent.
