How is sword block luck? You melee the second the enemy swings...thats not luck. Luck is chance based.
Timing isn't luck, but "predicting" latency is.Usually when somone is coming to you with a sword you usually know when hes going to slash, the second he can.
Are you unfamiliar with the term latency?
There's a very specific window in which one can melee for the sword block. Mastering that timing may well take skill.
Then latency comes in. It's impossible to get the sword block unless you can predict the latency well, which is a challenge in and of itself because "just in time" for you is often times "just a moment too late" to the host.
My internet blows, so I can't perform the same exploits as many can. However, it's a very valid concern that affects many elements of Reach, and it's a damn shame that Bungie didn't take that into account.Ah, do you make it through a game? I cant stupid At&t's router disconnects all the time.
On Topic: I see what you mean but timing still is usually all I need. But like I said they could have implemented something else.
