Then don't adapt and get all irate when it happens to you.
Oh, please do tell me how to adapt to the Sword Block that killed me in the video.

What happened in the video was lag.
And if someone armour locks when you hit them, don't hit them again. Throw a grenade and back off.
Try and be more tactical with the sword instead of running straight up to the person.

Lag? lolwut? Where?

See, here's my problem. You're talking to me and giving me advice as if Armor Lock had defeated me. Watch the video again. I defeat Armor Lock. What killed me was Sword Block. The third slash was perfectly timed, then negated by 360-turnaround (another flaw of Armor Lock) as well as illogical Sword Block.

So, even though I technically beat Armor Lock, let me still address your advice. The guy had two stickies. I've said it once, I'll say it again; the second I back off in that exact situation is the same second he unlocks and sticks me. Staying close was the smart decision-- and I won the battle. Lucky, connection-based, illogical Sword Block is at fault, not me.

DAMN YOU MICROSOFT

The story behind sword block.

Sage/other retards working on sandbox: HEY! LET'S PUT IN AAS!
LIKE SPRINT
Other guy: Sounds pretty cool. But wouldn't that make CQC weapons really overpowered?
Other other guy: You know what? Why don't we just make it like COD where there's a short pause between when you sprint and when you can shoot again? This way if you just sprint at people dumbly they can whack you while you wait to shoot.
Sage/other retards working on sandbox: OK BUT I DONT THINK THE GAMES HOST RELIANT ENOUGH
LET'S NOT DO THAT FOR SWORD AND DO SOMETHING ELSE THAT DOESN'T ADDRESS THE PROBLEM DIRECTLY LIKE SWORD BLOCK
Other guys: wat
Sage/other retards working on sandbox: YEAH IT'S LIKE SOMETIMES IF YOU GET LUCKY YOU CAN SMACK THE SWORDER AND LIKE

DEFLECT THEIR SWORD WITH YOUR ARM YUH DIG?
Other guys: But that's retarded. Then it effects other sworders who aren't just abusing sprint/evade+sword. It also makes it really random and connection reliant. It also makes the sword pretty much useless. Also that's just retarded, smacking away a sword with your arm
Sage: NOPEURBAD I'M LEAD SANDBOX DESIGNER

I love how you just agreed with me basically saying that your point is invalid. You're telling me to avoid the problem, but I feel like actually solving it.

Sure, it's elementary level because "Your problem *minus* The area of existence of the problem = Problem solved.

I've played nearly 22 times the amount of Halo 3 as you. You're hollow point is crap.

You mean ten times? And how that has to do with this argument anyways? If you say Sword wasn't OP in anyway in H3, you used it yourself a lot.

Posted by: Zomechin
Completely ignorant toward the idea of map control, power weapons, latency (connection), and much, much more.

Map control in a public game with random players? I want to see this..
Power weapons has to do with this how? Sure if the other has the rocket launcher and you have the sword it's quite obvious who wins.
Latency is invalid argument in this, because it would affect other aspects as well, not just the sword block.

And btw, did you notice you have quite a lot of Rejections?
Sure, you have played approx. seven and a half times more than I have, but you also have approx 86 times more Rejections, do the math.
You have a problem with it yet you use it yourself? Nice hypocritism.

My part of this thread ends here, since there's no point talking sense into you.

The part where he seemed to block while facing away from the OP.
Also OP, jumping off the side is always a possibility. You were on the catwalk.

HOOOOOLY WEOW
1. That's called a combination of lolarmorlock's instant 180 pop out and sword block
2. He had the power weapon and got the jump on the other player. If he had to run away something is seriously wrong.

It wasn't lag, it was the 360-turnaround that AL enables you to do.

Run away with the sword in a CQB situation? That isn't Halo. But in your scenaio that sounds like extremely fun gameplay. When I use basic weapon control and pickup a weapon that should allow me to get a few easy kills, I actually want to run away from opposing players.

stop complaining armour lock is not going to get removed or "fixed" so just deal with the fact that YOU are broken not armour lock and its YOU that needs fixed as in watch some training vids to get better at the game. dont like it? go on an other game like COD or halo3
You're a captain grade 3.
on halo 3 yes and your point is? i am a general grade4 almost a field marshal on halo reach

Notice how he blindly defended Armor Lock without even barely knowing about it? Kinda funny.

There was a huge nuclear spill in the middle of the country. Why clean it up? Just don't go there.

10x? Are you sure you're thinking of Reach and not Halo 3? I have around 11,000 games played, you have around 500. 11,000/500 = 22. What does this have to do with the argument? I don't know- you're the one that introduced the shallow point itself. You acted as if your experience justified your wrong idea that the sword was overpowered.

Are you... Um... yeah..

Please rethink what you just said.

I have nearly 700 rejections and nearly 2500 games played in MM. That being said, my average rejections per game was about 10. 700(rejections)/10(average rej. per game) = 70. That's roughly 70 total games I've used Armor Lock in out of 2500 games played. Derp. Not to mention I only used it when the game first came out and I was inexperienced and bad.

haha OP sucks with sword XD

No seriously, you do, I have never even once been killed by an armor locker while I was wielding it.

It's part of the game, accept the fact that you are dying in video game shooters.

Great argument. Let me try that tactic against your points. "Blah Blah Blah." No. You are moronic.

Chris > Non Chris

I'm almost sure this little anecdote applies to almost all of the original halo players.
Before i was a total Halo fanboy. yep, soooo much of a fanboy i shall even declare it: i got the novels and i've played all the games from start to finish on ledgendary and grabbed every achievement to get on any halo game (besides "get to general on halo wars") and i loved halo.

then Halo reach came.

now i play on COD MW2.

AL is causing the original players to ragequit reach completly.
