I simply think Armour Lock should be nerfed if not completely abolished along with the other abilities. Adding these things are essentially the same as adding perks in Call of Duty, some perks work and others are game breakers (such as the One Man Army pro + Danger Close combo that we've come to know and love...) Armour Lock has the same effect. Yes, there are ways around it, but barely worth it seeing as you generally get killed in the process by his team mates. The sword block is quite ridiculous, in the end, it's a power weapon, the whole point of a power weapon is it being an insta-kill. Like the shotgun, rockets, sniper, and grenade launcher and unlike the sword, plasma launcher, focus rifle and concussion rifle. Which brings me to another point, why was the Beam Rifle removed? Sure the focus rifle is a fun gag and is actually just a CQC weapon with no need for a scope, but what was wrong with the beam rifle, it worked perfectly and it balanced out the human-covenant arsenal quite nicely, whereas now its just completely in favor of the human weapons cuz they're all way better.
Back to armour lock; I think it's too easy. In Halo 2 and 3, if you were about to die you had two options, die or try and fight your way out, lots of people chose the latter and ended playing quite well in the end. Here, if you don't want to die, you don't have to, you just hit LB and you stay alive for a few more seconds while your team mates bail you out of danger. AL has gotten to the point where all power weapons have been rendered useless against it, nothing should have that ability, at least not for six full seconds. I think it should be the same as the target locator and the fuel rod; limited to campaign or firefight only. It's only purpose in MM is to piss people off. I think they should simply go back to their roots as a Multiplayer dominator. Simplicity. The wonderful thing about Halo 2 and 3 was how simple it was, no perk combos, no class choices, no weapon start combos, just pure strategy within the game.
