I laugh at the people not being able to present a decent argument. It's sad really

I'm pretty sure the OP got owned, typed an meaningless essay, and then waited for a couple hours. After that, he reported every flamming post and then tried to back his essay up. @OP you're not going to change anything. Just use AL yourself if you get annoyed at it.
lol

you should've actually watched his video before making that statement, OP won that game 50-15. He's pointing out a stupid, unneccessary game mechanic to fix a problem that wasn't there in the 1st place, (Sword/Sprint) and a stupid "get out of jail free" card in Armor Lock's invulnerability, combine the 2 and it's no wonder he posted the video on the forums.

You cannot reason a man out of a position he has not reasoned him self into.

There was actually one or two, but they ended up halfway or partially agreeing with me, so actually you're mostly right.

If you can't handle Armor Lock, stop crying about it. There are other playlists for a reason. Good game. =]

46 pages of qq?

I like Armor Lock.

I like Sword Block.

When did we all become such crybabies that we can't just knuckle up and deal with it?

I hope they put AL back in all the playlists it was in, I hope they put it in Team SWAT, matter of fact I hope it gets it's own playlist.

Stop complaining.

Sure, AL could have been thought up differently, and it ruins the game when several people use it, but when it's just one or two people it adds a challenge. It adds fun. Heck, I like to use AL when I'm messing around or if we're losing bad. It does change the course of the game drastically, but like I said earlier, it should have been thought out differently.

Now SB, that I like. It rarely happens, and it gives the defender a second chance. It stops people from sprinting and charging around with it.

I've said this many times-- No.

So you agree with me..? Great, now whatever next you say becomes invalid, but whatever.

No, it doesn't.

Who wouldn't want to use a crutch when they're performing badly? This isn't fair for better players or anyone. No one should have to deal with that garbage just because someone lacks any amount of basic knowledge and skill to function without it.

Why? A get out of jail card does not belong in Halo in any form.

No.. No, it doesn't. It only randomly happens (because it's decided mostly by luck). All it does is provide random results.

Besides, if you think Sprint/Sword is too powerful, fix the problem directly.

How is this even relevant?

Sword/Sprint was addressed indirectly by Sword Block, when it could've been addressed directly by the lengthening of the Sword draw-time while coming out of Sprint.

Why would I argue with ignorance?

Better yet, why would I argue with an opinion? If you think arguing opinion versus opinion is...well, worth anything, then you have another thing coming.

All you're doing is whining. It's pathetic. Go back to livejournal and blog about it, plz.

I seen that video, your bad. You hit him wile he was in armour lock like 2 times, then failed at the end with the lunge. You suck. A mistake I never made.
He Armor Locked simultaneously as the OP lunged, dumbass.

Also, lol at the irony of you calling him bad. You're a CAPTAIN in Halo 3-- as bad as you can get.

The first hit was his fault.

Right because we are all psycic and should know the enemy has armor lock. AKA it wasn't his fault. You see someone and your reaction should be SLICE.

  • 07.07.2011 11:54 AM PDT

I don't play any playlist where AL is available anymore and it works for me. Squad Battle and Arena is great playlists. I would prefer just hologram an sprint but whatever.

  • 07.07.2011 12:05 PM PDT

I simply think Armour Lock should be nerfed if not completely abolished along with the other abilities. Adding these things are essentially the same as adding perks in Call of Duty, some perks work and others are game breakers (such as the One Man Army pro + Danger Close combo that we've come to know and love...) Armour Lock has the same effect. Yes, there are ways around it, but barely worth it seeing as you generally get killed in the process by his team mates. The sword block is quite ridiculous, in the end, it's a power weapon, the whole point of a power weapon is it being an insta-kill. Like the shotgun, rockets, sniper, and grenade launcher and unlike the sword, plasma launcher, focus rifle and concussion rifle. Which brings me to another point, why was the Beam Rifle removed? Sure the focus rifle is a fun gag and is actually just a CQC weapon with no need for a scope, but what was wrong with the beam rifle, it worked perfectly and it balanced out the human-covenant arsenal quite nicely, whereas now its just completely in favor of the human weapons cuz they're all way better.

Back to armour lock; I think it's too easy. In Halo 2 and 3, if you were about to die you had two options, die or try and fight your way out, lots of people chose the latter and ended playing quite well in the end. Here, if you don't want to die, you don't have to, you just hit LB and you stay alive for a few more seconds while your team mates bail you out of danger. AL has gotten to the point where all power weapons have been rendered useless against it, nothing should have that ability, at least not for six full seconds. I think it should be the same as the target locator and the fuel rod; limited to campaign or firefight only. It's only purpose in MM is to piss people off. I think they should simply go back to their roots as a Multiplayer dominator. Simplicity. The wonderful thing about Halo 2 and 3 was how simple it was, no perk combos, no class choices, no weapon start combos, just pure strategy within the game.
