just sayin...

It will probably be the overly "ALL EPIC ALL THE TIME" type of soundtrack that plagues all action movies and games these days.

But we can hope for otherwise.

I don't think anything will ever be as uniquely beautiful as martys. Everything sounds the same these days...

What does it matter? It's not like we have to choose to like one or the other.

Et Eärello Endorenna utúlien.
Sinome maruvan ar Hildinyar.

I think it's not gonna be better than Marty, just different. That's all.

Maybe, I loved that "Never Forget" remix to epicness used in the Defiant Map Pack trailer.

The tide is turning, brothers! Let us take our kingdom back!

That'll be a good thing, won't it?

The Reach Beta music was really good, then Marty changed it to this -blam!-.

I doubt it. Have you heard the Legends soundtrack? It has some beautiful ambient and background tracks in it.

A massive part of what makes Halo stand out is the music, in the 45 minute podcast he frequently talks about how they respect the foundations of Halo. Frankie is going to want to keep the series going the way it is, he's not going to hire Hans Zimmer to compose an over-the-top action score. But I'd love to see Mark Petrie involved in the music of Halo... but I digress.

Compare this scenario to the Potter films. After John Williams stopped doing the music the got people like Nicholas Hooper and Alexandre Desplat composing. Like Halo, Harry Potter has a very distinct music style. The other composers stuck to the original foundations but also created their own spin on it and new tracks which were absolutely divine.

This is the way I can see Halo's music going.

Then we enjoy the new soundtrack.

Better is always good, right?

And does anybody know if 343 has the right to use the old Halo soundtracks??

It will be better, Marty isn't the only worthy composer in the world

Blasphemy!

And...why not? It's always nice to hear great music regardless of composer.

I'm 23, I have a house, dog, girlfriend, job and I have no interest in any fanboyism so if you're thinking about sending me a childish PM, don't be surprised when I don't call back.

I love some of the Reach music, but on the whole I would say that Halo Wars had a better soundtrack.

I hope they do make music that's better than Marty's work, because Marty has done an excellent job throughout and if someone does better then it means we have more great music to appreciate.

They didn't use Never forget in the Defiant Trailer haha. They used the piano of "Ghosts and Glass"; And the Halo Legends song "Sacred Icon Suite 2"

.....I think Halo Reach was Marty's best work. But maybe you guys just don't appreciate that kind of music... and that's not supposed to be an insult.

And in a similar manner to the Harry Potter series, which got significantly darker, Halo, too, seems to be going for a bit more of a dark story with H4. It could turn out to be just like the HP scores.

I think their soundtrack will be great. Just listen to what they did with Marty's music for the Defiant Map Pack trailer. It's awesome.

I'm not sure if you mean for Halo CEA or for Halo 4 though.

It had some piano sections of Never Forget.

It just wasn't as good as his previous work. Of course, it might be because he had composed ODST's soundtrack a year earlier and is considered by most to be one of his best scores.
