Subject: Offensive or Bungie.net Code of Conduct-Violating Signature

ATTENTION MODERATORS. My latest ban (14-day ban from Qbix89) is not legitimate, take a look for yourself. Please review this before considering me a "repeat offender". Thank you.

Can I be banned from the public forums for having a shock site, offensive statement, etc. in my profile signature? What if someone does have any of these things in their signature? Is it the responsibility of the person viewing my signature to be cautious and aware of the content that may be in my signature?

I said "Bungie.net Code of Conduct" because the signature cannot necessarily viewed on just the public forums, but from private groups, the profile itself, and possibly more, and is not limited to Bungie.net Public Forum Rules, but (as I would assume) the Bungie.net Code of Conduct.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I heard people have been banned for bag sigs.

The enemy of my enemy shall die next.

I know the voices in my head are not real, but they have some great ideas.

Brown chicken Brown cow!

The community has a responsibility to post things, whether it been in the forums or in a signature, that is appropriate to be viewed by everyone that uses the website, as not everyone is over 18 and the site itself isnt age restricted.

So I would say that offensive or inflamitory (sp) things in a signature would still be subject to the code of conduct and to banning.

The community has no such responsibility. It's surely not my responsibility to ensure little Timmy doesn't see bad words or "inappropriate images". It's the responsibility of his parents who deemed such words or images inappropriate or Bungie if they deem that material inappropriate.

However, such material isn't quite proper and I feel that they could ban you if those things are in your signature.

But banned from what exactly? The only type of ban I am familiar with on Bungie.net is a public forum ban from a public forum moderator.

The signature is a site feature, not a public forum feature.

The only ban I can imagine would be a ban from the website altogether.
