I have halo reach beTA!

Hey guys.
My friend let me borrow halo reach so I could download it to my hard drive. I successfully downloaded it, took out the game disk, and restarted the console.
It's in my game library now.
But when I press "Play game" it says "Insert the game disk".
Well, I just downloaded the entire 6.6 GB halo reach game to my hard drive, but It still says I have to insert the game disk to play it.
How do I fix this?

You need to have the game disc in order to start up the game. Once it reads the disc it will then play the game from the Hard drive instead of the disc.

Yep. The Xbox will always need a game disc to confirm you actually own the game and not do what you just did and pass the disc around.

HALO 2 FOREVER - M.I.A.

Yes i have a Twitter and yes i voice my opinion.

It will require a certain code from the disc before the game starts. This feature prevents people from using hacked versions.

You have to have the disc. This just allows for the system to load the game off the HDD rather than from the disc drive. You really didn't think Microsoft was going to let you steal games, right?

Yes everytime you want to play the game from your HDD.

Well that's stupid. Well whats the point of having an install game feature if you have to put the disk in every time?

I play most of my games from the HDD. Its was designed to keep the damage to the disc down when it spins in the tray.

To prevent piracy.

Also, it speeds up load times. And, in my case, I can use my scratched disc which normally wouldn't load some maps, since it reads off the hard drive.

Noise reduction and faster load times. Its great on the older 360s, the newer slims aren't that loud to begin with.
