It might be a 2 part story because of its sequel to Ghosts of Onyx and that we have this odst and elite.

Forklifts never die. They're just missing in Forge.

The Elite's mandibles make me shiver. Not in fright, but that they look out of play. I'm pretty sure the mandibles are placed further back.

"Where ere thou hast been, here or in yon world manifest? Canst thou tell what is, or what was, or what is to come? No thing shall last. Yet there are some things that will never change. History is written in blood, yet are battles really lost on the battlefield? Canst thou tell me where thou comest, and where thou goest, and what is, or what was, or what will be? For everything remains, AS IT NEVER WAS."

Yeah, they should be further back on the Elites jaw... Ah well, it doesn't look hideous. We definitely have seen worse Elite mandibles.

It appears that is not the sequel to Ghosts of Onyx and is about a Odst and an Elite.

I think it more represents humanity and the Elites rather then just those two specific people. They appear to be standing shoulder to shoulder, not aggresively.

Chances are, it'll explore the relationship between humans and Elites post Halo 3.

exactly what i was seeing since ODSTs are the closest equivalent to an elite other than a Spartan; with both ODSTs and elites representing the UNSC and former covenant.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

*cover art not final*

Looks pretty awesome, I wonder if we'll see the Shipmaster from The Return make some kind of appearance.

HALO: GLASSLANDS will follow-up the events and characters from Halo: Ghosts of Onyx in the wake of the final events of Halo 3.

"Although Karen's novel deals with the characters and events from Ghosts of Onyx, it's the wonderful new characters and scenarios that she brings so vividly to life that will excite Halo fiction fans," says Frank O'Connor, Franchise Development Director for 343 Industries. "We get an incredible opportunity to explore the Halo universe in the aftermath of the Covenant war, and unveil some mysteries and storylines that will connect readers to a compelling corner of the Halo universe. I can't wait for readers to enjoy this book as much as we have."

"Time was your ally human. But now it has abandoned you. The Forerunners....have returned. And this tomb... is now yours". - The Didact

If the Sangheili will play a big role, which i think and hope, then Thel Vadam will most likely appear as he becomes an important figure in their species.
Shipmaster from return even calls him "our champion"

I bet this new trilogy will have connections with Gregs trilogy and the new game trilogy(no single doubt).

I am Field Master Avu Med 'Telcam, Servant of the Abiding Truth, and I have many brothers.

A god who creates tools is still a god. It is not for us to impose qualifications upon the divine or presume to guess its intentions.

The elite seems to have lock jaw, or an alien version of the disease.

I was in a rush because I had to go to my little brothers birthday party and I skipped that in my rush.

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

Well, don't judge a book by it's cover.

That kinda looks dumb..

it's not breathtaking like Cryptum's cover was.

A lot of the first Halo books didn't have the greatest covers and they were good for the most part.

But yeah, not that into the cover.

If I remember correctly I think this is the start of another trilogy...or so I've heard anyway >_>

I'm excited, especially since it looks as if Humans and Elites are still on congenial terms, the cover actually looks like the human and the Elite are having a friendly conversation XD
