So it is a game then

I assumed the "Game" it referred to was the ARG in general. I'll be honest though I haven't thoroughly read through the privacy policy, just kinda skimmed through it.

"The object of war is not die for your counrty but to make the other bastard die for his."

Alrighty...I am beginning to think that this is part of Bungie's new IP...
Obviously, if there is a post with Bungie explicitly stating they aren't involved then it gets a little less believable. All I've seen thus far is a post with a mod stating that Bungie said they weren't involved, but I haven't seen Bungie say it themselves yet.

And here's why I think that Bungie is involved...
Take the Jump

As always...5gum IS involved, they are riding on the success of Bungie and using it to promote their own product...Bungie is doing this to help drum up interest in their new universe; I would expect that right now the relationship to one game is minimal, but the relationship to the IP in general is quite large.

At e3 envelopes were handed out that contained the testsubjectsneeded.com url and a bee/fly logo; there was a thread about it and a Bungie employee said that it wasn't Bungie

  • 07.01.2011 5:21 PM PDT

343 is in charge of halo 4. I sow are you guys who think it is bungie?

Edit: sorry i misspelled words and who knows it could be a tv show

Hrm...well then in that case...I guess I can see it possibly not being related...They typically don't flatly deny involvement, just skirt the answer if they are actually involved...Darn, it was seeming to line up pretty well, but I figure I'll keep an eye on it at least...

Turkey

So, I just got a scary thought. What if this whole campaign has something to do with...

Kinect...?

I mean, the whole "stimulate the senses" thing sounds like something that would describe Kinect. And there's a huge new XBL update coming soon. It's possible, and many people will be blindly pissed if this is the case.

Plekpedia - The most epic site in the history of ever.

As a few others have said, Urk said it was not Bungie like the day or day after this started.

Wow...i dont know what to say about this whole thing...

  • 07.02.2011 2:08 AM PDT

READ IT.

I won the Star. With this on Week 18.

Seems like Bungie to me.

Don't worry, this link is safe. It's the new Icefly website, survivalcode.com

only because you want it to be halo related, i am a "forerunner expert" and the architecture looks human not forerunner.

it is obviously not forerunner. it is obviously human. noone said that it was forerunner. but I do believe this is halo related.

those pictures remind me a lot of this

the comic strip that this was a part of reminds me a lot of the ones seen above

somebody on the last page said it looked forerunner, try to know what you are talking about when you quote somebody.

for anybody saying -blam!- like 'oh this is unrelated, it couldn't be halo 4'.
do not forget that back when SOTA first appeared, it INITIALLY didn't have anything linked to halo either.....
i say we should all just follow this arg and see where it takes us..

And what was the time correlation between IRIS and halo 3?

regardless of what the timing was between IRIS and halo 3, if I was trying to market something, i would think it'd make sense to keep the hype up from the teaser of halo 4 at e3. what better way to keep the hype strong then by starting an arg for halo 4?

do you know anything about marketing? you do not want to highly market a product that nobody knows nothing about and or is not coming out within a certain period of time.

We know nothing about halo 4 and have not got even a official trailer of it not to mention it comes out in over a year. the money it would cost to keep this running that long would not be worth it.

All the ARGs for the past halo games (yes halo CE had an ARG) start about 5-6 months before the games came out in order to maximize hype. starting a year and a half early is extreme.

I signed up to see what it was, and it is most likely a game ad.
It mentions sending you in game messages, and the home page has a game code activation system.

the ARG could lead to an official trailer.
that'd be cool.

idk when 'official trailers' usually come out (what would the e3 footage of halo 4 be called?), but i just think it'd be awesome if the ARG ended up linking to a page that showed us an official trailer.

will that happen that way? probably not. i'm not a marketing major (speech pathology), but i'm just trying to bulls#it around some ideas.

It would make sense if it was a game, considering it was promoted at E3

  • 07.02.2011 11:45 AM PDT

so i just now went the survivalcode website and "the code Activation" part is now open for those who have codes, but where do i get a code from? there is a code on my profile and whenever i put it in, it says that the system does not recognize it, so where are these -blam!- codes?

also if you check this out http://survivalcode.com/thegenesis/

it leads to another countdown thats 14 days from now... seriously this -blam!- is not for gum and for everyone who thinks so is -blam!- stupid obviously all this cryptic -blam!- about saving the human race and the fact that it was handed out at microsofts e3 press conference and Comic-con just shows that its about a game, and as for the logo on a five gum pack? just -blam!- advertisement of the viral campaign! and nothing else.

but what about how 5 gum's whole ad campaign is "Stimulate Your Senses" and all this stuff talks about is human senses.

and as for why it was handed out at e3, i ask why was it handed out at bonaroo? if 5 gum is doing an ARG for its new gum wouldn't you want to get gamers involved, cuz it's an ALTERNATE REALITY GAME,...GAME=gamers
