I didn't really know were to put this sorry if its in the wrong section.

Has anyone noticed that 343 has barely done anything by them selves? They got CA to make the defiant map pack (which conflicts with Reach's story) and they aren't even making Halo:C CEA by themselves!

Oh and while were on this note, how come all of there work looks like it has little effort put into it? Headhunters is a good example, the voice acting is great but its just still frames. If you aren't going to do it properly why bother at all?

EDIT: One last thing, why bother carrying on Master Chief's story? why not show how it all began like turning Contact: Harvest into a game?

Helping out the 7th column community with reasonable posts since '07.

When it comes to map packs there is little to no point of a third party company to do it if their working on 2 other projects.

Headhunters is a motion comic, it's supposed to look like that.

Choice, simply put. Not to mention the former Bungie employees that work there wanted to continue the Halo franchise.

Contact Harvest?Another game inside that period would be a bit boring,we already got the H-C war for 10 years,nox it's time to go into post Halo 3 and Forerunner era directions.

You realise that making a contact harvest game would be lazy,unoriginal and boring as hell??

To your other points,how the -blam!- did defiant contradicts Reach story?Please point me that out,Reach is the game with contradictions with the EU.

They aren't making CA and CEA themselfs because the majority of them focusses on Halo 4.But they were important for the progress,watch their videos and read their bulletins and you will understand.

You complain about a motion comic.Ironically how you diss 343 that they barely did nothing but then turn your back and diss them for headhunters,even if another studio were responsible for it.It's a motion comic,what did you expected?A halo wars level video?

Why use a motion comic for Halo though, plus I found the name of the company pretty ironic.

Yeah for fight as a bad ass for how long? 3 levels? Fight after the negotiations go sour. Fight to help evacuate civilians. Fight on Tiara. The end. And that's against what? 8ish Brutes?

An adaptation of Contact Harvest is pointless from a gameplay perspective.

All they have done is the defiant map pack and CEA. For both why would they do the multiplayer maps all by themselves when they can get a company who are experts at making good maps to help them out.

it just barely does, such as the teleporters on highlands and how reach looks in the space one.

Making the game longer and changing perspectives does nothing to expand on the gameplay. It doesn't change the fact that in one engagement Johnson and Bryne fought about three or so jackals on their ship. Then the militia was hounded by only 8 give or take a few Brutes, a small clutch of grunts, and some drones.


It would require blowing the enemies encountered out of proportion. Thus making the book irrelevant and leading to more dissent among the community as Reach has done.

I think that they both fit together and even if they didn't I'm willing to except the book as canon over the game.

How come everyone has a problem with Halo: Reach? I thought it was waaaay better then the book in many ways.

But really... I guess the best thing to do is to ignore him. What I loved abou the defiant map pack is that we get to see the highlands. Were the spartans trained, were the spartans crashed. Gamma station too! I love the little video they did about it!

I love how they're pumping out motion comics for free. They're really cool.

The teleporters are non-canon there just gameplay elements. And Condemned is an ODP right? In the distance you can see Gamma Station. And whats wrong with the way Reach looks in the background? (I haven't looked around that map for a while so there may be an actual issue.)


EDIT: TFoR is canon. Reach doesn't have anything in it that could make TFoR not canon

The defiant map pack, if was given a timeline, it would be during the glassing of reach. Condemed is when reach is almost fully glassed thats why it looks weird

Just so you know, Condemned takes place in Gamma Station. It's not an orbital defense platform either. It's just a docking station essentially.

I knew Gamma wasn't an ODP. I never knew condemned was on Gamma thats pretty cool.
