Subject: Is purchasing a Bag'O swag a contest?

The way everyone is going about this it seems like there impossible to get hold of. If I'm not mistaken they lasted an hour last time even with D-bags buying multiples.

As long as the buyer is there an hour with in them being a restocked he/she should get hold of one right?

It just sounds like I'm in a prize draw to see who out of a hundred or so people can press "confirm order" fast enough.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

I be trippin'.

As long as they don't get sold out in literally two minutes, I'm fairly confident I will get one.

Challenge me to a Hawaiian Punch chugging contest. I dare you.

$.50 in store credit.

I really don't see why people are so upset that some people got multiple bags. It's not like they cheated or did something unfair to get them, they were just in the right place at the right time and were willing to pay a decent amount of money.

But no, it's not really a contest, but i wouldn't be surprised if they sold out in under an hour this time.

Mainly selfishness, every extra bag they buy robs a bungie fan of there chance. Half these people are asshats who are going to funnel all the good stuff for themselves and sell there resembled bags on ebay.

I almost killed my self by ordering one while driving on the highway, on my Iphone. So I would call it a secret contest.

You risked your life over a bag?

You really do live up to your username, don't you?

  • 06.29.2011 7:42 PM PDT

I just woke up, turned on my computer, and bought one. I guess I got lucky.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Bungie can't just make thousands of swag sacks.

It is about who can get them first, this kind of thing happens all the time.

I achieved my Recon armor through the screenshot contest Team Control, not Bungie Day or ODST. 5/29/09
No, Luke! Noo!
64th last player to play Halo 2 online.

I think of it as a competition at this point. I also doubt that they'd sell in about an hour, I'd bet you'd have less then 15 minutes to purchase one.

I agree, there is so much hype and people waiting to buy.

An hour?

No.

Not with all of the hype and build-up after the first wave of release, the inevitable scripts that have been written, and, most important of all, an ETA down to the exact hour.

Not to mention there are apparently 150 or so left (was this ever proven?).

5 minutes, at best.

This.

Sorry guys, but tomorrow, I plan on buying two bags the second I can.

I want as much swag as possible.

Think about it this way.

When "barely anyone" knew about the bags, they were gone in a hour.

No, we have an exact time, date, and even less bags.

This will be over quick.

Win.

OT: With things that are limited it can degenerate into a contest. Sadly that's what happened here. Everyone wants one, but there just aren't that many.

150? I highly doubt they put 350 in the first wave.

Bungie underestimated the power of the swag.

So, they ended it early.

Now, this is the last group remaining of Swag sacks.

Yeah but theres a difference between something being "Limited" and you getting it off the flip of a coin.

It is not luck, it is whoever buys it the fastest becuase it is limited.

There is no random luck to getting it.

Yea, thousands of people, buying something that is limited to about 150, all within a one or two minute time window.

Some luck is involved, yes.
