Many people before you (including me) have tried to organize gatherings but to no avail. No one shows up or show much interest.

But I am not trying to discourage you. If we can get this set up I'm all for it. Count me in:)

Me too, sound good. Although hard to orginize like Barnacle said.

Add me to your friends list if you haven't already. It's a lot more fun to play with people from The Maw and people I know than random noobs.

You have my sword.

Males or Females. It would be hard to find a male who doesn't play counter strike. I personally know of so many who have recently or are playing cs lol, including my brother. :D

hmmm... Xfactor? Could we have a better name for it? How about "The Halo PC Fourm's private server" or somthing like that, it will raise interest for this forum too.

And can we make it password protected? I don't want this kind of -blam!- to happen.

password protecting a server is a good way to ensure its empty or low pop.

No you need to setup the server, set a time and date every week, make an announcement every week, and endure the emptiness for a few weeks until you get people to steady attend.

Password protecting a server is a good way to ensure that only players of this fourm join, there will be no shee noobs, hackers, aimboters, or whiners then.

My girlfriend is awesome like that :P In reality I just sent her a guest pass for her to see what it's like. I showed her some interesting gameplay vids and now she wants to play :D. She is mainly a CoD player, though.

Listen to this guy, I think he knows one or two things about hosting a server ;)

1. The person hosting will not have banshees in the gametype. (This goes to you, OP)

2. Any skilled Halo PC players knows that aimbots are nothing compared to someone who has at least average skill

3. Aimbot is a hack, why would you separate those two?

4. Ban the whiners as soon as they say something. To be honest, I'd rather be in a room full of hackers than one guy crying "Bot" each time he dies.

If you do have them, only put one per team.

Children like to hop in them in drive around splattering the whole game. If you just put 1, it's not a big deal if you have one of those kids on your team. But if you ever feel like using the Warthog the way it was intended, with a gunner and good driver, then the option is available.

Agreed with Puf, only one per team works out nicely :P

By the way, this MIGHT give you some inspiration for certain things to have on the server. It's a thread I made a while back for when I thought I was going to host a server. Has a full list of Gametypes/Maps I was going to put on it before I realized my Internet/Computer wasn't truly up to the task. (By the way, don't do the designated targets gametype. I played it a bit and realized why its rarely played :P)

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.
