Perhaps a let down, Bungie has denied the existence of a new project developed internally by them, but are:

It means that Bungie, through Bungie Aerospace, is partnering with a select group of independent developers to help them make their games great.
Bungie Aerospace is allowing Bungie to expand into the mobile market and gain stronger control - perhaps this is the reasoning behind the partnership with Activision. By establishing such a partnership, not only could Bungie potentially make a lot of money, they can distribute Aerospace to more developers and both groups will have access to more resources. An example of such a game is "Crimson" [codename] developed by Harebrained Schemes through the use of Aerospace.
