"Were it so easy..."

I for one was very happy with the announcement.

As someone who enjoys video games, I feel it is important to see the industry grow in ways that benefit the people creating the art. Think of movies and music and how, especially in music nowadays, musicians are struggling.

Game developers do tend to struggle until they have that break out hit. Something like Aerospace will assist the little guy in becoming big and we'll see things like Minecraft pop up more frequently. It also lets those with raw talent get noticed and continue to push the gaming industry.

So, while it isn't going to directly affect the consumer now, it may very well make you're future gaming endeavors that much better. It is something that, we as consumers, should appreciate. But again, thats just my opinion.

Do NOT send me Recruitment Letters, doing so will get you blocked faster than you can say "Huh?"

Wait whats not cool about a billion dollar company helping smaller companies get their ideas to the market?

For information about my GT, "bjb yo," or the Linked account here on B.net, "Nub Cutter."

I don't understand the logic of those complaining...
Aerospace will probably have no affect at all on the new IP, it will still come out at the same time, Bungie will still be giving us information at the same time...
We could have had nothing at all. And we got A LOT. That's pretty cool, IMO.

I think it was the basic idea of receiving information about Bungie's new IP that got people in this funk. When it was announced that on Bungie Day there would be information relating to Bungie Aerospace, my guess is that most people naturally assumed it was their next IP, so the actual concept of Bungie Aerospace seemed underwhelming to them.

I, personally, love the idea. The potential for this to evolve and skyrocket truly talented, but unknown, developers to where they deserve to be in the game industry is relatively brilliant. As was already said, we will probably begin to see more things akin to Minecraft coming from Bungie Aerospace, which I am very excited for.

It's cool for the small companies, but this really doesn't affect the vast majority of us here. So when people are expecting to finally hear about bungie's new game and it turns out to be something that has nothing to do with them, naturally they will be disappointed.

Check out The Game Lounge

I was expecting a game. But I guess this is cool, a lot of little games jam packed with awesomeness.

I'm pretty sure they've stated repeatedly that it didn't have anything to do with their new IP, and that we wouldn't hear much about the new game for quite awhile.

Never really expected a new game, but this was a surprise. I'm looking forward to how this will work out.

Want to see more of Crimson also.

Everytime someone sacks my groceries, I think of Loaf.

Well we still know absolutely nothing about "Destiny" which is most definitely a game or at least a code name for a game. And we will get Bungie & crew games for mobile devices so it's double good!

If you can't beat them, try harder. Never join them.

The only thing I didnt really like is that it is only for mobile/social games. I would very much like them to spread to other platforms (PC PLEASE : D) soon.

lets just hope that Aerospace helps the little guys of the indie developers instead of the ones who have lots of money to line bungie's pockets.

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

Anything to jump start new, small developers is a good thing.

Well said.

While Aerospace wasn't the next blockbuster project I was expecting Bungie to grace us with in the next couple weeks, it will be interesting to see what games and media come out of their new "publishing" group, if you will.

I am pursuing an AAS in Computer Programming with emphasis in Game Design. So I thought it was awesome news. Gives me more hope for becoming part of team that strives to make kick -blam- games.
