Bungie fanboys be warned, there will be bashing by the time this goes live.

Bungie.... No, SON. Son, I am DISSAPOINT.

Bungie oh Bungie, how I would love to wring your necks right now. As I finish reading the newest little announcement, I sit here not in pure awe, but in dismay, and a bit of hate.

You say you left Microsoft to escape the constant quarrel of the corporate funding, to escape the constant deadlines, but in doing so, you make yourself what you have left, a company that will eventually live to control. Now, is that irony for you, or what?

As well, the facts being, that this is not exactly ' Big ', more like something that is more likely to disappear into pure, horrid obscurity, mainly due to the fact that this is NOT BIG. If you were trying to blow peoples minds by making yourself into a video game hosting company for phones and IOS devices, game systems, all of which are only made by the 'Indies', you are sorely mistaken. Worst. Move. Yet.

I give this a month before it breaks down like a teenage girl who just got dumped after laying with her boyfriend.

Rap Rhyming Ray

Well, Bungie was never an indie developer that created social and mobile games. The comparison here is....dumb.

But regardless of that, why is this announcement bad news? Because it's not a new game? The only thing I am upset about is that we knew about Aerospace for a long time, but we never knew what it was...and it turns out that it's something most of us don't care for much. But big deal? They never hyped it up and shoved it in your face. It's good news for small developers.

You also know nothing about how they are going to work with other developers, so comparing it to Microsoft "wringing" Bungie's neck is unfair.

As a troll would say ' U mad Bro? '

Im not saying Im mad that no game is being released. For the record, there is still Destiny.

Upset, no. Dissappointed in the fact that they have dropped the ball, and had became hypocrites, yes.

As well, may I add that its the Indie companies who will be developing the ' Indie ' games, not Bungie. So you have mis-read. As well, that further supports the fact that Bungie will probably buy a whip as soon as they rope in some poor indie companies.

As well, I did warn all bungie fanboys that I would be saying a few words they did not like. So if you dont like what I have to say, dont mind this post. :/ So yah.

I fail to see how Aerospace even remotely relates to these.

but in doing so, you make yourself what you have left, a company that will eventually live to control. Now, is that irony for you, or what?

Aerospace doesn't "control" the games/developers at all. It assists them.

Also:
Aerospace is a service to assist independent developers launch and support their mobile and social games.

Microsoft absorbs/controls other companies/titles, and controls the Xbox 360 and through that many developers.

How are these the same?

So, basically, you're pissed off because it didn't matter to you, and isn't "big" enough for you?

It may not matter to you, or be "big" to you, but it's going to be "big" to a lot of independent developers struggling to get their titles out there, and into the world.

I have been looking for a way to get into the gaming industry myself for many years but have failed to land a job or position. I believe that Aerospace is the place to launch myself into the world of of developing, thank you Bungie.

Microsoft started out the same way. They started off like bungie, doing things, not video games of course, but developing software. THEN, when they made a step similar to this, over time, they became the slave drivers they are now. Bungie is, in a way, following in Microsoft's footsteps. One would think that the same result may occur.

The Butterfly Effect, my friend, The Butterfly Effect. One thing causes a chain reaction that gets larger as it spirals down, such as a ball of snow down a slope. In comparison, Bungie is a tiny ball now, but as it picks up those indie companies, and ' Helps ' them along, its going to grow. Someday, as much as Microsoft. And who knows what they will do then?

To make a really crappy analogy, that's like saying that all Jedi apprentices are going to become Darth Vader.

Also, Bungie isn't anything like Microsoft, and from all of their previous actions and business practices, I trust them not to become something like Microsoft.

If you read about Aerospace on Bungie.net, you can clearly recognize that it only assists developers. It doesn't absorb them, nor does it control them in any way.

Everyone knows when Bungie "controls" everything, it will be a sudden change. No working their way up the ladder. We'll just wake up one day, and learn that we're now under their complete control. I for one, will welcome our new overlords.

I see it as Bungie doing for other developers what should've been done when Halo CE was in development.

Look at the Bungie Story - 10 years of game development, they "reimagine" Marathon, then get bought by Microsoft so Halo can be the launch title for xbox. Billions of dollars later, Microsoft is the king of video games, and Bungie is starting over again.

Then Bungie signs a publishing deal where they keep ownership of all they produce, so the Halo "mistake" doesn't happen again.

Then Bungie creates a company to help indie developers, in a way, do the same thing their Activision deal does.

I don't see the hypocrisy. What I see is a step to world domination by becoming a games Publisher as well as a producer.

It's like the world of European Finance - why go to banks that charge usurious interest for bonds and loans when you can get it from Arab banks that charge fees only???

Same thing here - why be a Zynga-type producer and pay exorbitant fees for (or give up ownership of) a publisher to put your game out there when you could go with one that actually wants to help refine your IP and bring it to market, for less than Activision or the other folks?

Brilliant Bungie!!! Break the oligopoly.

You better close this sig when your done.

You've all been trolled.

Oh and OP (and other people that missed this in the update) in case you really haven't noticed, Bungie is still working on their next big game, Aerospace is just a platform to assist indie game developers, it will probably work the same way Valve's: Steam works.

Do you know how finance works? It's never just "assisting" when it comes to this kind of funding.

Haha What? Microsoft didn't start out like Bungie.

I'd hate to pull the age insult but I will. Are you like like 13 years old or something?

A simple Google for "Microsoft" and "History" will prove you that Microsoft did not even remotely start out the same way as Bungie nor do they have a common business philosophy.

Left here a long time ago.

I don't see how anger is justified here.

Disappointment, on the other hand,... I mean, this seems like something that's OMGCOOL for mobile developers, and absolutely insignificant for every single other person on the face of the planet, possibly except for casual gamers.

Well Ive been in the Navy since June 25, 2009 and its a fun job right now.

I think it is just a disappointment to people because its a new thing that most of the people here wont use... I think its a smart business move for Bungie and hopefully they will have success with it...

Wait I'm under the impression Aerospace is simply a way for publishers to get promote their product. I haven't seen them controlling any companies.
