OP I just can't help but question why you had to create this topic. It's disrespecting the community when the community has a justifiable reason to be mad and has absolutely no positive discussion value, and you should know all of this if you had any common sense.
The games, services, and support we bought from Bungie in the past 20 years is just as irrelevant to mention as the fact it was for charity. We expect Bungie to, as a community, keep us updated on their operations and they failed to meet our expectations this time.
Sure some people took this too far by creating threads and spamming the forums, but don't be too quick to say you aren't one of those people. You took it just as far as the other people by creating a thread instigating those people.
PS. I was not interested in the swag bag, or any items in the Bungie store.
Because he realizes what is important in life and isn't materialistic . The community consists of how many people? And there are 777 bags, majority of the people had almost no chance of snagging a bag. So, people should have never expected to even get one, but only hoped b/c of their low chances. They shouldn't even be mad at bungie, if anything its actually amazon that caused this whole incident. And since when did bungie have to meet every single person's expectations? Bungie didn't even have to do this, so everyone just needs to appreciate that bungie tried. After all I don't think anyone could've done better.
Why does materialism have to be involved? If somebody wants to buy a product the appropriate service should come with it. That's such a pathetic point to bring up, I don't know where to start.
Sure Bungie didn't have to do this, but they did. Trying is not good enough from a business standpoint, especially from a company that is so well respected and has such high expectations.
"And since when did bungie have to meet every single person's expectations"
A 10 year old could be able to comprehend the fact that a major video game developer has to keep it's customers (or what some call the "community", lol) happy.
"After all I don't think anyone could've done better."
You're implying they did okay, or good, or decent. You're wrong, the way they handled this situation was terrible and in no way positive.
Unfortunately we have some one that likes to argue.
1.It's not even Bungie's fault, it's amazon's. Their servers crashed and wouldn't allow people to order the bags.
2. 10 year olds complain about alot of things
3. If you don't want one why do you complain/argue/rage/troll
4. Even if people say they hate bungie they will still buy bungie's games, normal people get over stuff like this soon and dont hold 2 year long grudges
5. Its not as easy as saying amazon fix the problem now. Not only do bungie and amazon have to communicate properly, but they also have to do the work and somehow contact the customers. The bungie studios was probably chaos today and everyone was doing something and couldn't get the news out. They tried a quick fix which involved adding a new swag bag for people to order from until Amazon got the original Bag O' Swag working.
6. Many other companies out there wouldn't have even bothered with trying to fix it that much. So all I can say is Bungie did just as good as anyother company or better. So unless Bungie has some godly expectations or something, stop ragin.
Also materialism is brought up because people focus too much on the materials, bags, on the 20th anniversary. This is a celebration, not time to have grown men cry like 6 year olds.
