Subject: Friend denied Blue Flames helmet/Bungie.net connection.

I was told I would have better luck in this chat room so I'm xfering the starting post here and a link to the original to see if I can get some help for my dear old friend.

http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=62459623

My friend [Acolyte Wraith] was a big time fan of the halo franchise, and has been denied the Blue Flames, I'll explain better below.

Acolyte's Email connected to his Xboxlive acc/bungie.net account is unable to get its password retrieved. :
Password is invalid
Password retriveal says cannot be retrived online.
Online Help couldn't get it.
Phone Help said they could attempt at getting it but no gurantee.

Without the email's password he can't get his bungie.net confirmed, and in doing so also prevents him from getting the bungie flames via website and ipod app. He can't change his xbox live email connected to everything without logging into the said email.

If there is any way for an employee that can operate on the bungie.net manually confirm his bungie.net account and or unlock his bungie flames for him it would be grand... [Acolyte Wraith] is an Old halo lover.

If there is any way I can get support from my old High School buddy here it would be greatly appreciated.

Me and Acolyte Wraith were the ones who first got the Oni Laso weekly with the Forklift(check my Fileshare pic "Security Checkpoints xP) http://www.bungie.net/stats/reach/default.aspx

Any help like keeping this topic alive so a mod can see and prehaps go up the foodchain and fix theses bad commings D=

If he has/can borrow an iPod Touch/iPhone, he could activate his Blue Flames via that.

  • 06.30.2011 11:06 PM PDT

He can't I have a Itouch, and it said he account is invalid because it needs its confirmation link in the email to be activated...which we cannot get into.

Have you tried asking support to reset the password?

Also, does he have any recovery questions or an alternate email listed for his email account?

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

Whoever told you this was the right forum was wrong, this forum has nothing to do with Halo.
I honestly don't know anything about the Blue Flames unlock, but maybe he could try resetting and changing his password?

I think you're fine, because you're asking about how to recover an account on B.net, not just about Blue Flames.

I guess you're right since it's a problem with the site (probably).
I would try resetting my password if your friend wants it that bad.

He can't get into the email, and manual PW retrieval is impossible for weird stupid reasons.

The core problem is his email to his Xblive is having its time of the month not accepting any PW or PW retrieval system. and without the acc confirmation thats stuck int he email he cant get his Bungie.net working or getting his blue flames.

I am trying to do my best to do what I can on my end and hopfully get a employee to manually activate his account and or any other support.

Ya know, lessen the stress for my childhood friend here. :)

I know you've tried asking for retrieval, but have you tried asking for a password reset?

READ IT.

I won the Star. With this on Week 18.

Change email linked to GT?

  • 07.01.2011 12:13 AM PDT

Jer(Acolyte Wraith) my friend who is in need of help cannot change his email connected to his GT without hitting a confirmation on the email, so he is stuck like a serpent eating its tail. So while he tries every few days to get this solved,

I am trying to help him in seeing if I can get an employee's attention to see if they can manually help Acolyte via his bungie troubles if possible, without being able to get into the email. He is screwed from not just Bnet connection, blue flames but a lot of other opprotunities in the xbox community, I am trying to lessen his load.

You are better off contacting the Xbox/Microsoft Live/Hotmail support then Bungie.

Honestly, things would be done quicker through the Microsoft websites.

Thats Acolyte's Job, and while then I'm helping him with his bungie.net related problems.

Change your e-mail to another one, done.

  • 07.01.2011 2:21 AM PDT

If you read the above post, we can't do that without a confirmation email in the email that we cant get in. = /

  • gamertag: [none]
  • user homepage:

Having read your problem twice. I think your best best bet is to contact Windows Live ID Customer Service.. If that doesn't work the only option is to create a new account on both Xbox LIVE and B.net.

  • 07.01.2011 9:16 AM PDT

What doesn't kill you simply makes you...stranger!

I had trouble with this. The solution was:

1. Open a new hotmail account.

2.
Change your Xbox 360 account over to the new hotmail (you can do this on the Xbox dashboard under My Xbox, Account Settings or on Xbox.com) as long as you have the previous email password it shouldn't be a problem.

3. Create a new Bungie account with your new hotmail and then it will link the Bungie and Xbox account together as they share the same email now.

4. Get blue flames and verify account.

It took me a while to figure out what to do but when I tried the above steps it worked straight away. Let me know if this works for your mate too, message me if you need any more help.
