*Jaw drops* How do you go from a $200 video card upgrade to a $5,000 Alienware system? Alienware is overpriced, the only benefit is that they are top of the line, and they will tweak your system to the run your games at the best possible performance. You can probably find a cheaper system elsewhere and if you can build your own you can save a couple thousand dollars.

You send me the $5100 and I'll build you a system with the same components and keep the $2000 that I saved!

But to answer your question "would that be a good system" No, it would be a fricking awesome system, and be so for a few years too.

Actually, if anything, an alienware will run much, much, much slower than a self-build with the same specs because alienware pre-install their OSs and jam them full of crap like useless drivers and extra compatibility stuff.

Trust me on this one, never ever buy an alienware if you have the know-how to build it yourself. In fact, just built it yourself and save 2 grand.

And another piece of advice; if you're going for a gaming PC, definetely go for AMD over intel. Intel suck something awful with gaming.

Built my new pc for 1300.00. I already had a monitor, which isn't that great, gamin mouse, and keyboard.

It wasn't to tough puting it together.

Build your own! At least if you need to take it apart and replace something, you know how to.

Good Luck
