Posted this in a different thread but it works just as good here. 4 Reasons why I hate Reach, not the only reasons just 4 good ones:
1) Mini Nukes oh I mean Grenades - If your shield is even partially weak or if you have a full shield with low health one grenade will kill you. Just spam em, easy kill for you BKs.
2) Noob Sniper - Didnt you hear the news? Everyone is a sharpshooter in Reach. I was never headshoted so frequently or so often in Halo 3. Either the players are superior, doubt it. Or the gameplay is EASIER. I think its the latter. And it can take down tanks, wtf? In real life The M1 Abrahams can take direct hits from other tanks and survive yet were led to believe a sniper can do better? Why waste fuel and money on tanks then? Why not just have teams of anti tank snipers instead?
3) AAs - Players now blindly jump into 1v1 situations knowing that they have a security blanket to fall back on to avoid death, they use and abuse AAs in noobish ways. Now yes I know theres equipment in Halo 3 but you didnt spawn with it and there only one time use. You actually had to you use them "tactically" you couldnt just spam regens or booble sheilds at will. That would make an unbalanced game, hence you have reach.
Sprint- You drop the guys shield so he sprints around the corner and you lose the kill. Or he uses sprint to rush up and double beat you down. Very crafty and skillful dont you think? Yes im being sarcastic.
Jet Pack- I dread playing Reflection. You take control of the top and you think the games yours. But wait this isnt Construct on Halo 3, they can just jet pack up and spam mini nukes at you. Where is the map control? Better yet, where is the skill?
Armor Lock- I have no words.....
Camo- Its bad enough you can use it at will but then they toss the stupid radar scrambler in there so you cant even track the BK on radar allowing them to slip away or camp unnoticed.
4) OMR (Overpowered Marksman Rifle) - The BR was supposedly the god weapon, rubbish. After a certain range the BR was useless. This is not the case with the DMR. With it being single shot and highly accurate its basically good at any range. Did I mention it can destroy vehicles?
In the end...Reach = Crap game not worthy of the title "Halo".

Also, you forgot to mention how the maps in Reach are poor. In Halo 3, the amount of detail in the multplayer maps, plus the great design/layout, is what makes the maps so memorable. Reach's maps are boring and dull. In H3, I actually wanted to glitch outside of the maps just to see all the detail up close (of course, I always failed at it).
The campaign for Reach was even more linear and generic than any Halo game before it. The story was uninteresting, and the characters are stupid. AI is pretty damn stupid, too. Plus, you start out with all the skulls unlocked. Finding skulls is one of the most fun things to do in a Halo campaign (for me, anyways).
I also found the multiplayer unbalanced and frustrating. Don't know what my stats are for Reach since I sold it so long ago, but they were probably not that great. Well, I found the multiplayer to be easy most of the time... TOO easy. That is, when you play on playlists with less armor abilities involved. As for the armor abilities, I absolutely hate them. I won't rant about them since everyone else on the internet already has.
They made Forge World seem bigger than it actually was, (during interviews and such) when in reality, it is just a bunch of plain, dull land to place a very limited amount of objects upon. Not only that, but you can't really forge on the actual maps since they just aren't made for forging, or anything Halo for that matter. The maps are only decent for looking at, not playing on. They added cool new tools that help with forging, but it doesn't make up for any of the other issues.
I could go on and on, like how the armor is plentiful, yet it all looks stupid. Or maybe how the elites look worse, and you aren't able to choose them whenever you want. But instead of doing so, I'll just leave it at that.
haters gonna hate.. if your not ready for some changes then you can eat -blam!- the rest of your life. do you realy think H4, H5 and H6 gonna be the same game? dont think so, live with it
Who says I was hating? I am just disappointed. I can accept change, if it is good enough. I never said I wasn't going to get H4, H5, or H6. Apparently, I heard that they are going back to their roots with Halo 4, so I am actually anticipating it. I've been playing Halo for almost a decade now, so I'm pretty sure I'm not a hater.
Sometimes change is good, but you really have to think of your fans and such when you make the changes. You can't just try to appeal to other groups of FPS players (AKA CoD), and leave your fans in the dark. Not fair for us.
