Subject: Bag O Swag - Do you care?

In an attempt to balance the mood here today, I was wondering if anybody else simply didn't care, didn't try, had little or no interest and still doesn't care.

Discus?

Wakka Wakka Wump!
No I freaking told you to cut the hose off, if i told to pull it off then i would have said pull it off. Now you broke the AC you dumb ass.
Me to my mother.

The postage turned me off, for some reason giving UPS $42+ to line their coffers instead of the charities seemed a bit whack.

At first it be cool to get one then one hour past by and you tell yourself "ok im stopping now there's no way im getting one",then the gorilla thing showed up "ZMGOD",BUT THEN i order looked a little sketchy then turned it down, then turned out it was real after that hours whent by started to rage and loose hope then quit and bought the poster pack.

I had one in my cart for the longest time and everytime I went to review my order (after I put my card through, mailing address) it kept saying "sorry this item is out of stock. O well guess ill just save my money for Halo: CE.

  • 07.01.2011 8:18 AM PDT

I woke up on the 23rd, walked over to my computer, and bought one. I didn't have to worry at all.

Hi I'm RT and I like to argue!

I only care that you left us. :-(

:-P

I got one for myself and 2 for a group that I'll probably give away. But I got lucky last week and got in on the first round so I'm not into all the drama here this week, haha.

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

I honestly don't know what I would do with whatever I got.

  • 07.01.2011 8:23 AM PDT

It would be cool but I don't care enough to try hard for it. I was surprised to come home from work yesterday and see threads about how they were just coming out so I tried once for the hell of it and failed. No big deal.

The forums have been funny lately though.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

Do I really care? Nope, but I admit that it'd be a nice bit of swag to add to my collection. Yesterday I was ordering on the hopes that my pay-check would be enough to cover the bag and my looming expenses--which come to find out this morning, I wouldn't have, so I'm thankful.

I had ample time to press that "Checkout" button, but I hesitated from internet safety cause I had no idea of legitimacy. I wouldn't say I was pissed, more so sour, when Hal mentioned that it was legit, I tried again and the sacks were gone. Which, was really the only reason I felt sour about it.

The reason why I was just sour and not pissed or angry? The bags were limited, and we all know how the Halo Community feels about limited stuff. Plus, the bags proceeds were going straight to charity, which was freaking awesome. And finally because Bungie doesn't owe us anything, if anything, we should owe them something. We weren't promised, we weren't owed, and most of all, the majority of "Halo Fans" quickly turned and gave them the finger.

I'm a Bungie Fan, a part of the Bungie Community, and I know -blam!- happens.

This, epically.

I've never been that bothered about it. Gaming merchandise of any kind seems like a waste of money.

I will admit that the entire process was poorly executed though, and although it was for a good cause, Bungie certainly disappointed more of the community than they pleased.

That woulda been so much simpler. Wish I coulda done that, but I had to work.

Yea, I cared. It was a great item. Three exclusive items FROM the Bungie Office. Most likely SIGNED! For a huge fan, thats jackpot. Plus its all for charity. So yea, I cared alot.

I had to compete yesturday to get one. Luckily I found that Gorilla seller almost right away, before others.

I cared enough to wait for them yesterday for over an hour. I don't care enough to rub it in everyone's face though...

I have very little interest in the Bag O' Swag. I think it would be very cool to have if you are a very dedicated Halo fan, but in all honesty, I could never see myself buying one. Hence why I did not try.

It didn't bother me at all. I knew before hand that I wouldn't have been able to snag a sack. (due to loans and other expenses) I am just happy that the profits are going to a great cause.

That's what I said until I read through the other threads.

The Swag Bag sounded cool, but I'm not a collector, so I kind of figured it would be mostly stuff I would eventually just throw away. I'd just like a shirt, really.

Nope, I had the opportunity to buy one first time round.

Then I decided that I'd rather regret not buying one than buying one.

I don't regret not buying one, I don't need models of master chief or the soundtrack (which I already bought off of amazon).

I don't need memorabilia when I have memories.

BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

I care, so I'll keep trying to get one, but at this point I doubt I have much chance. There's definately no need for all the uproar, it's sort of similar to when everyone wanted a Reach Beta code.

Something that does slightly annoy me though is when people complain about delivery times. If I were them I'd just be happy I got one, as I'm sure the majority are.

I don't always ban people but when I do I laugh uncontrollably...that's if I was a Forum Ninja.

Truth is a matter of perception.

The Button

I somewhat cared yesterday but instead of crying about not getting one I preordered Assassins Creed Revelations Signature Edition with the money I was going to buy a Swag Bag.
