My spartan is old school.. why? He doesn't like to update. Bahahaa, no.

People get angry at people for saying something bad about Halo,
and then they say Halo takes skill,
and yes Halo does take skill,
but then they say go play a game in which it takes no skill, but the people with skill who play Halo,
terribly suck at a game which takes no skill..

Problem?

People will say anything they think will help them win an argument. This is true on internet forums and anywhere else people disagree.

Halo hasn't always been the easiest game to pick up and do well with no previous experience. When you compare it to Call of Duty it is usually much more new user friendly.

But yet, the hardcore Halo veterans suck at CoD.

That's purely subjective, though. Being a veteran doesn't make you good at a game. Halo pros can usually switch over and do somewhat well since they understand how FPS's work. They know about the teamwork and map control.

But! There are no shields on CoD and no AA.
For them, playing Halo for so long, they would be horrible at CoD.

When you get to be really good at a FPS you realize that it's less about the little quirks of the game and it becomes about your teamwork and your awareness of the map.

People like to argue. It's a trait many share, unfortunately.

People play different in different games.
People are not going to play the same as Halo in CoD.

Ply MLG in any game for a while. You'll understand what I mean.

*facepalm*

As far as I know, the only game I've come across with an MLG playlist was Halo. -.-"

Everytime someone sacks my groceries, I think of Loaf.

People will say whatever they're feeling depending on the situation their in. Truth is, Halo does and does not require skill. It depends on a persons perception of the word "skill" and how it can be applied to a game.

It didn't start with a playlist. There are a lot of games that MLG associates itself with.

When he was younger, he was the one who always had the jokes and riddles that would keep the spirits of the Spartans high. Over the years however, his lifetime of combat had hardened him, as it had all of the Spartans. Within Will, John thought, something special had been lost.

Comparatively CoD follows many of the same principles as Halo. But like many have said and FPS is an FPS. If people are any good at games they're going to adapt fairly quickly.

Engagements in CoD don't have the potential to be as drawn out as they do in Halo, though. Halo is a lot more like a dance. There's a lot of give and take like tug of war. In CoD you shoot someone and they die for the most part. With all the variables they've added since CE, I'd wager the skill ceiling is much higher in Halo than in CoD.

My spartan is old school.. why? He doesn't like to update. Bahahaa, no.

But I've played against people in CoD who consider themselves 'pro' in Halo, and they suck.
