Let us discuss trading some of our items on here since some of us got clothing that doesn't fit?

I know. I'm sure there's some legal mumbo jumbo as to why it's against the terms of usage. It would be nice if we could, though.

- Do not use the public forums to barter or sell items/services.
Bartering or trading over the Internet is not always secure. You will be scammed, and others may not be deemed trustworthy. It's much safer to just trade over eBay or Craigslist - and Bungie does not want to be taken to court.

Always Use Protection
We caution you against giving out any personally identifiable information (such as social security number, credit card number, name, address, telephone number, driver's license number, password, etc.) online. This information can easily be used for illegal or harmful purposes. Just because the rules prohibit people from misrepresenting themselves doesn't mean that they'll obey. You never really know who you're talking to.

I know about all of this stuff. I was thinking of getting in touch with the people here and actually going about the business on another site.

What about a Private Group? PM one of the Master Mods and ask if it'd be okay for you to create a thread that advertised a Bag O' Swag item swapping group. I think they'd go for it.

No problem. I'll probably end up joining cause I've got a bag on the way myself.

Yea that's just as bad. I'm going to assume even setting up an area to relocate goes against the Code of Conduct and the Terms of Use. I'm going to find a reference if I can.

I wouldn't suggest pursuing your intentions. Give you shirt to a friend that fits them; it's much safer than doing it over the Internet.

USE OF COMMUNICATION SERVICES

The Bungie Web Sites may contain bulletin board services, chat areas, news groups, forums, communities, personal web pages, calendars, and/or other message or communication facilities designed to enable you to communicate with the public at large or with a group (collectively, "Communication Services"), you agree to use the Communication Services only to post, send and receive messages and material that are proper and related to the particular Communication Service. By way of example, and not as a limitation, you agree that when using a Communication Service, you will not:

-- Advertise or offer to sell or buy any goods or services for any business purpose, unless such Communication Service specifically allows such messages.

Meh. It's worth a try to ask. One exception for Bags of Swag is possible.

No it's not. You're not going to get approval, I can guarantee that. If something goes directly against the ToU, don't ever expect it to happen.

Since organized communities are usually more enjoyable, you should take your time to read the forum rules to save yourself some trouble and help keep the forums clean :-)

Or you could just wash/dry the shirt a few dozen times to shrink it as much as possible...

There's too much risk involved here, regardless of whether or not someone is a "good" person. I'd be happy with what you've got, and if it doesn't fit, frame it, hang it up, wear it around the house for a pajama shirt. It's just better to be safe than sorry.

I'm trying to become an '04, but it's not working too well."

Here is an example of why this is a bad idea.

Innocent guy is in bold, sinister kid is in italics [Not only a Black Keys reference, but italics make things seem evil.

O Hai Thar b.net! I got an xxxxxxxxxxxlarge shirt in my swag bag and it doesn't fit! does anyone have a medium shirt they could trade me?

Okay! Let's swap information via PMs and we'll do this thang!

[1 week later]

HELP BUNGIE I SENT SOME GUY MY MEDIUM SHIRT AND HE NEVER SENT ME ANYTHING OMG THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT BUNGIE WHY WOULD YOU LET THIS HAPPEN

Here is an example of why this is a bad idea.

Example cut to save space.
We could easily solve this problem by providing picture proof. i.e. writing your B.net name on a piece of paper and taking a picture of it next to the item.

If the group were to be made, you could make it so that the person joining had to prove he got one...so that randoms don't get in to try to scam users.

Example of providing proof you have something. Note: This wasn't in my swag, just the closest thing to me to use as an example.

Subject: Propostition

Yes, there're too many numbers in my name.

Bartering on the forums is a law and I will prosecute it to the fullest extent of my imagination.

...You have been warned...

Not gonna happen on the main forums.

Do you like Yax? I do.

If you got clothing in your Swag Bag that doesn't fit, just give it to someone you know. I got a women's Halo shirt in one of my bags, so I gave it to my sister that likes Halo.
