Halsey probably moved from sword to castle after the game ends or some crap
I'm guessing you didn't pay attention to the end of the Package?

why
Because she clearly said she was going straight to CASTLE base.

Brains beats brawn get used to it

Fear the Red Comet

Variety is the spice of life.
Long live games.
Death to all fanboys.

That planet is the Dyson sphere that Dr Halsey and the other few spartans were trapped in. Continuing where the books left off.

As far as Reach breaking the cannon goes...

It didn't do too much damage. Just the whole Cortana bit.

The Spartans are a just a few spartan 3's augmented further than the others, selected to defend sword base while the spartan 2's were selected to defend castle base.

Did you even read the book or play the game? Your OP makes it sound like you've done neither.

This.

And Jun was sent to act as her guard along the way.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

That's what it looks like and I'm so damn glad. I hope 343i does a great job with the story and I hope it's their first priority...unlike Bungie.

"Where ere thou hast been, here or in yon world manifest? Canst thou tell what is, or what was, or what is to come? No thing shall last. Yet there are some things that will never change. History is written in blood, yet are battles really lost on the battlefield? Canst thou tell me where thou comest, and where thou goest, and what is, or what was, or what will be? For everything remains, AS IT NEVER WAS."

Hmm. I certainly hope not too much, as the books are based off the games, not the other way around.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

So because of this 343 should make no effort to bring the story together and keep the Halo universe intact? -_-

343 are using the novels as a primary method of storytelling now. Evolutions, the Forerunner Trilogy and the Glasslands (post-Halo 3) trilogy all take place in vital places at vital times in the Halo canon. I have a feeling it's all going to converge on the events of the new game trilogy at some point.

Unfortunately.

As a pure game-only, that's a middle-finger to the face.

That's not what I meant. But the games should not be limited to what the books says. The games should have mentioning and references to the books, but it should not be a game about the events of a book; that would just be very boring.

Gard to judge something that hasn't been done yet, though i would say play it safe and not do a book game at all; unless it is like headhunters or grey team
