DusK, I did give my opinion on the topic. All the Halo games are "noobified" as I've learned in my time as a PC gamer. Trust me, my Quake friends never let me forget it. They act exactly like you do towards Halo 2 with Halo PC. Does Halo 2 take less skill than Halo PC/Xbox? Yep, definitely. Would I classify myself as a Halo 2 player? No. In fact, if I called myself a player of any Halo, it would be Halo PC. I rarely have a go with Halo 2. I only ever really touch it if I feel like doing some glitching or play with a few friends. I do sometimes play it for fun, though.
Point is, every Halo has adjustments for the console. Even Halo PC with its limit of 16 players, no real mod support (Other than the poor support given by Gearbox in Custom Edition), and bullet magnetism (Not as strong as Halo 2's, mind you) wreak of a console game pretending to be a PC game. In fact, Halo: Combat Evolved's praise was due to the fact that it actually functioned on a console. That Bungie had found the right controls for a console FPS and made it easy enough for it to be playable with such a device.
In the end, as you've said many times, pick up a real PC game if you want a good competitive game. Games such as Unreal, Quake, Tribes, or Counter-Strike. In my opinion, my favorite FPS franchise of all time is noobified in every installment. The only reason I love it is due to the fact its fun to play. Simply my favorite game to put in then have a good laugh while making the bodies spin while falling to the ground. That's what I put forth into the discussion.
