Subject: I hope 343i goes back to the ways of Halo 3

If anyone has noticed, there's less than 100,000 people on Halo Reach right now.

In Halo 3, on a Saturday afternoon the summer in 2008 (summer after launch) there would be more than 300,000 people online.

I like Halo Reach, took time getting use to, but I have to admit, I miss Halo 3 :'(

Um, OP, if you are talking about the currently playing thing ingame, that only tracks people actually in games. People in non-matchmaking games, searching, and in lobby aren't counted.

Seeing as the site counter had 692,653 players for 24 hours...

I did not know that. Apologies for my ignorance.

Did Halo 3 track people in lobbies, searching, etc?

Not sure. I just know I read the comment about people being counted when a Bungie employee entered a thread about them faking the numbers on site.

as long as they go back to un-augmented player attributes and restore purity to the battlefield the game will be great

but halo will die for real if another reach comes out

343 industries is a team made up of people who love Halo. So hopefully they feel the same way as 70% of the Halo fans.

Ummmmm...

You make it sound as if Reach allowed players to increase/decrease things like their health or damage in MM.

I am with you on missing Halo 3. That game was my love. It was always my fallback game even when new games came out. Halo: Reach was great, but it lost a certain feel that I had felt with the previous titles. The armor abilities seemed neat in the beginning, but were often abused in matchmaking. Like armor locking in close quarters melee. I understand certain things were added into Reach that weren't in previous titles, but it stirred the pot in a bit of a sour way for me. But I still play Reach regularly, and I deal with shenanigans like everyone else.

Amusingly enough, I found reach MM more fun then Halo 3 MM <_<.

Scandinavian Master Race!

God forbid that they will actually do something different.

i made it sound like what it is

you cant have something like AA's in halo and it still feel like halo

if reach was halo 3 with better graphics ..it would be more popular

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Reach is terrible. Halo 3 is the best, imo. If you don't like my opinion, then go to the Reach forum.

I bolded the statement in question. Attributes are health, speed, damage, etc.

In no way does Reach MM allow players to personally modify each thing. armor abilities don't count, as again, they are all available to all players, and cannot be changed from their base stats.

I hope they get rid of all the new garbage they filled Reach with and build off of Halo 3 instead, it's the sequel to it after all.

  • 07.02.2011 10:55 AM PDT

Um halo 2 please, or if halo 3 make a better hit register system so no blood shots. That is all.

As long as it's original and helps gameplay by almeans do it. Bloom and AA's only slowed gameplay and made it suck. Things like dual wielding and vehicle boarding (when they were made not many other games had them) were great. Equipment sucked too but not every one had them. Bungie also got rid of power ups which was a no-no.

This^ for the population part. For the rest, why would they go back to the way Halo 3 was? We would not see anything new. It would not be Halo 4 it would be Halo 3.5. Let's start excepting change people.

  • 07.02.2011 12:03 PM PDT

^^^its a franchise you don't need to change alot if it's fun people will buy it. Like madden and stuff each year they hardly change a thing but the fans still love it. That's how halo should be. Like how when leaving CE we got vehicle boarding and dual wielding. Then in 3 we got brute weapons and vehicles. Reach well...we got invasion and armor. :)

Halo 4 should use 2/3 gameplay just add new levels, weapons, campaign, armor etc. Franchises don't need new gameplay like Bungie thought Reach needed.

Meh, I don't think that's a good idea, gameplay gets pretty stale after a while if it's essentially the same game every single time and it's essentially just the title that changes. Maybe not each game introducing something entirely new each installment, but Bungie had the right idea introducing new things to Reach, every couple games or so they need to introduce something new to change things up drastically, such as the AAs in Reach.

Sorry, this isn't -blam!- Germany so opinions can be dissenting whether you like it or not, and I thought both were pretty mediocre compared to CE and Halo 2.
