Subject: Credit banning request.

A friend and I had a couple people over playing Reach and since I just recently downloaded the new map pack, we decided to sign in the rest of our controllers as guests so that we could get me some of the new achievements. I don't think that it is fair that my friend gets banned as well as me for the sole purpose of helping me get some achievements since we did not boost in any way nor did we get any kills on our guests who were not playing. What I am asking of you is if you could possibly un-ban my friend since they do not deserve it and I'm wondering how long my ban will be since this is not a regular boosting = banning circumstance. I've been banned once before but for only a day and from what I've read, it says that the second time is two weeks. Two weeks seems a bit much considering we did not actually boost each other credits. Even if you do not do anything about our situation, I would recommend you guys to do some work on your automated banning system since I have seen some ridiculous cases of new players to Halo being banned for just overall not doing very well and being determined as not playing and/or boosting. Thank you for your time and I hope this message will actually be read.

Nope. The system looks for a certain criteria, y'all obviously met it.

You certainly sound like a gentleman.

I've hated humanity since you were in diapers.

Well now shouldn't you feel special? In fact here, I'll announce to every body that you are superior to me. Would that make you feel like a big boy?

Inheritor #156 :p

You boosted in MM you get banned.. It's going to be 2 weeks, doesn't matter how little of an infraction it was.

BTW Defiant achievements can be done in customs should have done it there.

So does anybody have any useful information to share like who I can contact instead of just being a -blam!-?

  • 07.02.2011 4:21 PM PDT

Can you appeal against the ban or reduce the time

I'm nothing special, just a random voice on the internet but be my guest, oh and a word of advice...if Bungie investigates and you're lying your ban will be extended.

I am not lying and I am not even asking for my ban to be uplifted but for my friend's to be. If I'm asking for anything to benefit myself, it would be to lower the ban time or at least revise their system for other players.

You were told everything pal.

Nothing that I didn't already know.

That is what I am trying to figure out.

Stop trolling. And it says in a matchmade game for the achievements by the way, so nobody that is smart will believe you.

Because you cheated.

bungie.net/ban. Too lazy to link it.

It will not be lifted. Don't go into MM with guests who don't play.

I would appreciate it if you would point out in which way I cheated. I only used their own created system to try to get a few achievements. We did not go around assassinating unresponsive enemies to "boost".

Your friend should actually be asking, not you. Here's how it works, Bungie investigates, if it was indeed a false positive than the ban will automatically lifted. If it's not Bungie will extend the ban because they wasted their time.

What do you mean by false positive?

I've already read plenty of articles on the subject thank you. Read my very first post.

I am sorry. But it is against the rules to do what you did.

MY Definition of boosting/farming/cheating:

Earning credits in a way that wasn't intended by the developers in an unsporting way.
