Because they are kids and love the Lego games as well and the Halo games. The Halo games are rated M and not meant for young kids however, it is hard to tell your kid not to play something when most of his friend are allowed to play it and he plays it when he is over his friends house. They also love to play Lego games just as well and they all wish they could play the online with each other. Bottom line they are kids with great imaginations and the Lego games stimulate them in that fashion.

You realize that giving your child a substitute for the real thing will in no way deter your child from still playing the real thing every chance he gets. If you can't set your foot down and continue to allow your child to go play Halo at other people's houses why don't you let your child just play Halo at home so he can play with his friends online who already play Halo. Your line of logic is terribly confusing...

Child loves Halo--> child should not play Halo--> I let my child play Halo at his friend's house--> Ergo there should be a Lego Halo game made so I can let my child play Halo at home

Yeah...doesn't make sense in the slightest bit.
This 100%.

As I said why would a kid want and all around inferior game? Just because some over protective parents think it is much better if the very minor amount of blood and curses is removed. We're not playing God of War here. Your kid (contrary to popular belief) will not be scarred for life and he will not become a Serial killer if he just plays the real Halo game.

I would not mind a Lego Halo game, however I doubt it will happen for some time. Main reason is that Megablok's currently holds the license, so Lego cannot even touch Halo right now.

As far as violence goes, Halo is one of the (much) tamer M rated shooter games out there (Gears of War far out classes it violence wise for instance). So I don't see a problem with it being coverted for a kiddie game like the Lego games. And as other's have already said: there are already Megabloks and action figures out that kids can play with. A Lego Halo game would not be that much difference. Heck it could be used to introduce the younger generation to the franchise when they are too young to play the M-rated one (not that some parents would stop them from playing the M-rated in the first place :\).

I think it would be a good game. But, I don't think it would be very succesfull. If 343i or Microsoft made it, they would probably lose money. Maybe if they made it ino Xbox Live Arcade

I agree. They probably wouldn't do very well. As for the Arcade idea, if the game would be like any of the other Lego games it would probably be to big and expensive to be just an Arcade title.

JohnnyBoy I expected a reply like that from you, are you going to say, your not the boss of me next? Look either you support the ideal or you don't, unless you work for or own MS or Bungie why bother to speculate the intentions and the directions of those companies? It only makes you look pompous not intelligent to do so.

Owned by intelligence...

But to be honest I like the idea but I don't think the halo franchise would make good Lego games because the story and game its self is complex and directed towards an audience of 18 and older. If a child can understand the halo story then cudos but in reality of you want your son to play halo then just let him play halo because he cant escape violence its everywhere these days, and hes gonna see it straight up eather not bad in a video game or worse in reality. Basically I have been playing Halo since I was 8 my first violent game I've played was Unreal Tournament, yes it was my parents decision to let me play but I have turned out fine today, violence doesnt stay in a child's head for long and even if he doesnt get it from playing video games, he will get it from his friends ( i.e fun fighting with your hands) that wears off and eventually he and yourself will look back at it and laugh. In conclusion if you want you son to play Halo then let him play the xbox game.

To be honest, I think it would look bad for Tt if they teamed up with a developer that creates M games.

Rising children can be very confusing at times, all you can do is your best and make every effort to raise them to be good productive members of society. Who can say for certain that kids would not stop playing the Real Halo for Lego Halo I tend to agree with you beside, I do not dare suggest that, no one would create a game to take customers from a game like Halo which is doing so well. That would be crazy.
As for my logic not everything is black and white and has perfect logic in it. There is a spirit or intention here to provide a version that is more age appropriate for kids who love both Halo and Lego games. I have clearly posted this ideal in the wrong forum as it is apparent by the majority of responses that there are too many people here with weakened imaginations and can not understand the core concept and spirit of the ideal. At no point did I say it would be a substitute for the halo games rather it could be viewed as a positive alternate option for the more responsible or conservative parents. Also I never said I do or do not let my child play Halo. That is something you have concluded on your own. If you can not understand the logic here than please just move on, this concept may be way above your abilities and I am sorry for that. The question is do you support the ideal or not? Not lets analyze this until it get so convoluted that the core ideal is lost. It really is not that complicated.

Oh by the way. If it makes you feel any better, i started Halo at age seven. Just let him play the game. If your scared he will be scarred, look up Gears of War, Mortal Kombat, Dead Space 2, God of war, and Left 4 Dead on Youtube or something.

Also, if he starts playing other M games if you let him play Halo, put the boot down and take away Halo completely until he is of age.

It's not bad, it's just that the game would be extremely different from the game your son's friends are sharing stories about.

What appeals to you (you as in gcorle) in the concept of a Halo Lego game? Why should they make a Lego Halo game? It would literally serve no purpose except give over protective parents a substitute. Can you provide another reason? Can you provide a reason they should make a Lego Halo game instead of just making regular Halo games? I don't want to start a flame war. I just want some explanation for your idea.

As to not go off topic from the Forum, how would comedic Lego figures not break canon? Or how would the stroy fit in? One of the main reasons people buy Halo games isn't just for the multiplayer, it's for the expansion in the storyline.

I do not know? How well is the Lego games doing do you? They keep coming out with more games. I agree it is inferior to Halo that is why they need both teams to create it, so they to keep the Lego imagination with the Halo graphics and online and gaming capabilities. Open your mind and try to think like a kid.

I did say that my seven year old came up with the concept and it appeals to him and his age group. They would be the target audience. So the ideal for me is selfless and for kids not adults so please keep that in mind when replying.

The sad truth about Halo, is that the majority of it's fan's are over 10 years old.

Also, it sounds to me as if your asking for Halo: Reach remade with a Lego art style. IMHO, that doesn't make the game really any worse. In fact, you could say it makes it gorier because every time each character dies, it explodes into square chunks.

so they to keep the Lego imagination
wut?

Anyway, sure why not. I just don't think it would be as successful as you think it would be. Also it will never happen because Mega Bloks owns the right. Why wouldn't he want more regular Halo games over Lego Halo games?

However, another forum poster raised a good question. What about the story?

And you know for a fact that him and his friends like it?

Even if 343 industries actually starts work on said 'Lego Halo', by the time the game is finished, your son and his friends will most likely be swept up with Call of Duty, which you could say is even worse than Halo, because it depicts the USA under attack and invasion.

If you are referring to the dark nature of the story, that did not stop the Lego games from creating the Star Wars or the Indiana Jones versions of the games. Star Wars get darker than Halo in my option. Please remember this is a concept, I have not written any story lines or anything.

I don't know about you, but at least the Rebels had a good chance. Do you want to know how many Humans are left after the Human-Covenant war is over?

200 Million.

I'm sure you also know that 200 million people is only 2/3's of the current population of the United Sates of America. I'm sure you haven't even heard of Glassing either?

At least the Empire took prisoners, and lets the civilians on the planets they conquer live...

Halo has an incredibly large story line that spans over 100,000 years featured in books, games, comics, and short movies.

In terms of Multiplayer, it's just you, your friends kicking back and having harmless fun.

Also, if you play one of the story line (Campaign) modes in a single Halo game, most of this stuff I mentioned isn't known.

In Star Wars they destroyed a whole inhabited planet mainly just to test a weapon. Also Anakin turning to the dark side killing a bunch of kids then losing his arms and legs. No contest in my eyes.

How about completely rendering 800 planets completely useless and barren just for the sole fact of killing humanity?

No more animals, not even an atmosphere is left due to Glassing. Let's not even get started about the Flood.

I would like to point out that all of the stuff you mentioned is shown in popular Star Wars media, so I do respect and completely 100% understand your reasoning.
