Unto the Fray we go

I'm not saying one is being made, but, if there was one being made.

A flood horror film, and not the off-topic forum, I'm talking about the semi-undead alien parasite, sometimes considered the ultimate zombie.

should there be one at all? And if so, what do you think it would take to make it a great horror film?

I say first off, the flood should break most if not all of the conventional zombie rules (eg: flood form shot in the head and killed, comes back anyway thanks to fellow combatant)

2nd, break some of the conventional horror film rules, giving viewers a real surprise

3rd, DO NOT make it a conventional film

The Flood should have been as scary as the Necromorphs from Dead Space.

Eh, it's all dead meat waiting to be blown to biological scraps with my Shotgun.
*Goosebumps* That just gave me a flashback of what it was like shooting the Flood with a Shotgun back in CE, now I will be able to relive it once more.

Regardless of the Halo game, the Shotgun has been my one designated Anti-sonuva-blam!- machine for the Flood.

The shotgun is a magnificent weapon, perfect for everything. Unless there are Jackal Snipers.

OT: It would be tricky to pull off, the film would be aimed at halo fans, not the general public. This means we would be expecting these tricks as the flood have been trying them on us for several games now.

heres a good idea why not make the mona lisa into a movie and just make it a little longer or do it in another place but this time its the same thing.

There is no problem that cannot be solved with a shotgun, or a flamethrower, or a spartan laser, or a... you know what? Never mind.

You and me bro, agree on something. Now matter how many freakish alien zombies you put in front of my SPARTAN's visor, all I need is a shotgun and a flamethrower to leave a pile a charred scraps and broken dreams behind me. Can't wait to do it again.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Make the Mona Lisa a horror film. That'd be worth watching. The animation on Waypoint doesn't give it much justice...

You have to aim it at the general audience, there aren't enough Halo fans to have a movie aimed for them.

But then again, the general public what have a clue what is going on.

It'll just be "Oh, space marines doing their thing, and OH HOLY BLAM, DID HE JUST EAT HIM OR SOMETHING??"

It's grandeur would be lost on the general public, but Halo fans are pretty much used to the Flood, so it's a bit of a dead area. Mind the pun.
