I mean, in 500 years we'll have technology far more advanced than the UNSC does in Halo. Maybe 200 or 250 (for the sake of the slipspace engines), but certainly not 500 years.
That's a little too much for the technology that is presented.

In all honesty there are far too many variables for you to state something like that, you are speaking in a future perfect tense.

Honestly, I'm glad they're reserved in the way they present the future. Usually people go way too far with things when talking about the future. Case in point: "Back to the Future" :P

Although thing seen in there have been possible for some time, they're just not practical. Well... the basis of things seen. I personly saw their depiction as just right.

May 11 will be known as Halo 2 Day for me from now on.

Well Ive been in the Navy since June 25, 2009 and its a fun job right now.

I think 500 years is a good rough time frame for how far advanced the technology is... We might be more advanced in some areas more then what they show but we really wont know until 500 years from now...
