I downloaded the software, everything is working fine, but when I go to join a Halo 2 lobby nothing will show up on my system link screen. Thoughts?

I've tried port forwarding, downloading winpcap, finding my console, but still nothing.

XBC, not XBL.

I'm sure everyone knows that Halo 2's online servers don't work anymore.

I'm running XBC on a wireless laptop connected to the same wireless router as my Xbox 360 Slim.

Anything special I need to do for these?

I myself have always had trouble with using laptops. If you can help it, use a desktop, if not, I'll go get Mikey and get back to you. (He helped me with it before.)

Post Scriptum

By the internet connection I did not mean any at all... you can post with dial up for example, but not play.

Just found something out about enabling the ICS would help. I tried it, but my computer keeps saying there is an error while enabling the ICS.

What operating system? Do you have .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 installed? If not install Service Pack 3 or find it in the MS download section.

Go into control panel/add remove programs and scroll down to see if .NET Framework is there.

For ICS go here:

http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=20108

And here:

When you search for your Xbox does it show your router and you can check it and it searches it? Did you try downloading and installing a new npptools.ddl?

Yea it took me a while to figure it out too. Just ask in the chat box that they have in the XBC application, there's lots of people that can help you there.

I've installed Service Pack 3. I'm running XBC on a Windows Vista wireless laptop which is connected to the same router as my Xbox 360 Slim (also wireless). I don't even know where to begin with this ICS thing.

XBC can find my Xbox fine. The problem is the that nothing is showing on my system link screen when I join a lobby on XBC. I've never heard of this npptools.ddl thing. Could you elaborate?

I've tried that too, but most of them were just looking for games and didn't have time to help me out or didn't know what to do.

When you start up XBC does it say a program failed to load because npptools.dll is missing from your directory?

No. XBC loads fine, it finds my console fine, i can join lobbies fine, but nothing will appear on my system link screen in Halo 1 or 2. I've tried port forwarding, using winpcap, etc. but still nothing. Can't seem to figure out what it is. I keep getting this error message when I try enabling ICS though. I think that is probably the problem.

<------Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Reach, and Halo 4 emblem.

I think the issue is that you don't have the latest version of WinPCap.
