I think we should be able to edit polls, not as in deleting poll options, since that could be exploited and should (maybe) be reserved for mods. What I'm talking about is adding poll options, that way if you made a mistake in your poll or feel like adding another option you can do so.

Adding poll options, I can see as being useful. Nearly any other ability would be counter-productive.

Yes i have a Twitter and yes i voice my opinion.

It would be nice but then again all it takes is a legit poll to be turned into a hater session.

You could have a poll that the entire list of options contains legit stuff. Then the poster could be able to edit the options around OR be able to change the wording to something else making everyone look stupid or something worse.

Corporal Sultan - Squad Assistant of 2nd Squad [A122] - Spartan Corps

This would prove to be a useful tool not only in the voting booth but in other forum threads as well.

In other words, it can be abused. I hate this argument. Everything has potential to be abused, even posting.

We shouldn't be able to edit the text in the polls, that right could be reserved for the mods, and what do you mean changing the wording? People can still edit their OP while having very open poll options that may be mistaken for innuendo just to take that as an example.

Ill make this clear with some help from my firebug addon for firefox.

WARNING THE FOLLOWING HAS BEEN EDITED VIA THE USE OF FIREBUG ADD-ON FOR FIREFOX. LOCATION OF REAL THREAD SEEN IN THE REACH FORUM

When a poll is made it has the ability to add a good decent number of options for it. Over time the count on a poll gets high cause people like voting for things knowing or not knowing what they are for.

When a person makes a poll they are unable to edit the poll as is. But they can edit the posting text as normal. This is a Typical poll that is seen in the link above.

If a person like the op were able to edit polls then this is what the poster could do and even more.

The real results would look like this and if the poster edited the poll like shown above then its apperent that ... Well you can see for yourself.

I hope that clears things up just a bit.

SIDE NOTE: The poll stats did change as i was getting screenshots.

That's why I said that right should be available only to moderators, and I only asked if we should be able to add poll options, not change to poll options ourselves.

Yes i have a Twitter and yes i voice my opinion.

Adding polls to the listing then would make it unfair to the people who already voted.

That would also cause a factor to be able to edit the current ones which would lead to the poll ending as i demonstrated.

Unless achronos rewrites the entire code for the polls. there is no chance and its actually better to just post a new thread then.
