As for the community involvement, do you think that's more of a failing on the part of Bungie to make this site interesting for those that have been here "forever" or is it more the failings of individual members to find the appropriate avenues (if those avenues even exist) to become more involved?I blame Bungie for making us feel like this is a magical and infinite place of wonder and joy to match Zombocom, but I also think that the 4-years thing is a lot to do with breaking of member's own expectations and illusions.
I'm not sure what else this site could use with having, since it already has so much, though all of those features feed right back into Bungie instead of back into the community. I know that this is a game company's website and that is important, but ensuring the community is satisfied seems very important to me. Average Joe, Bungie All-Stars and all the cool spotlight stuff is great, and there simply can not be enough of that sort of thing.
I don't think there is a solution to this. I think it's just something inevitable for people to find themselves involved in.
The Bungie Beta tester thing should help, especially if it means that we'll be able to playtest the games being fed through Aerospace. That should help a lot.
(I feel as though I'm taking this thread in a direction that wasn't intended. If that's the case Skibur feel free to tell me to stop).Lol, I don't think Skibur had anything in mind other than just saying he was seven as well as getting a couple stabs in at certain Mods.

If anyone can figure out something for the post-4 bnetters to do other than feeling depressed that they can't do anything, then please feel free to say howdy and figure that out.I've brought it up in a thread before... It's Drama.
Older members need drama to keep them coming back.
The only time I ever look forward to checking in on Bungie.net is when I know there's some drama going on. All other times I'm just looking for some, and if I can't find any, well then I will start some.Sure, but drama doesn't always have to be bad. Take, for example, "I'm doing free art commissions for Bungie employees!". What started as a strangely unorthodox request turned into something pretty amusing. Positive drama. Community interaction.
Or remember back when someone posted that picture of Marty with Foman and Jen Taylor in the foreground and massive amounts of shoops and lulz were had? More positive drama. Something to get involved with. Heck, the whole Webcam Games of '07 could be considered drama.
I get what you're saying though. I recall many occasions of dramatic crap, and I remember causing or being a part of a few of them, and I suppose I agree with that. But I want to stress that I feel it's not difficult to create a positive dramatic scenario; they're not hard to come by.
