Self-proclaimed genius.
Roam the streets with a sign, "will love for false hope."
Yeah really, Durado. I agree with that point. However, I personally wouldn't want an easily exploitable griefing experience. LAN was fun because if someone racked up 20 kills with the sniper by being outside of Sidewinder, you could just walk across the room and punch him in the face. Then you'd laugh. Have some pizza. And throw the passed out guy into the yard.
It would be a lot less fun versing random people who do it solely to ruin your fun. So using Reach is extremely logical so they don't split the population and don't have to try to fix all the problems that were in the original multiplayer and add a bunch of Xbox LIVE features to it.
No matter what they did with the multiplayer, it could not be the same for a plethora of reasons relating to gameplay and networking. As much as people hate Reach (at least, I certainly do), it's the right call to create a classic map pack for it. Though, I do wonder if Achievements and the Reach style graphics really make the campaign worth the price. I already own Halo: Combat Evolved for the Xbox. That's already been just perfect for the last ten years. Hm...
