So you guys are saying jorgem other spartans, and the other thousands of humans that when into a faulty slipspace portal are alive?
This is such a scfi cliche riverworld is the first thing that comes into mind, along with stargate time travel.
What other spartans went through slipspace and wasn't heard from again?
The only situations we know of where slipspace goes wrong we have complications.
The civilian ship that was cut in half would exit slipspace still cut in half. With jorge we have a similar slipspace scenario, but a spartan who might survive the same scenario with a ship intact. But he in all likelihood does not know how to control it or run it's slipspace let alone know the coordinates for UNSC territory.
So the only two situations that I know of where slipspace was not used properly. Both those situations have the highest odds of never coming back even if they survived the abnormal slipspace jump. We don't know what happens, they could come out perfectly fine, or they could come out torn to shreds. Possibility is still there.
