I r guy who gun to teach u lesson

Dear bungie community OP,

LOL, someone wanted a hot topic?
You know what people respond to threads about attacking other forums?

"The flood Is not your personal Army"
"No"
"Troll"

Your theory about us having organized attacks was never true, that has never happened. And who cares about an idiot like the one you showed? You get people like that everywhere.

This thread is dumb, your making the rest of bungie seem even more seperated to the flood by consulting against it. Especially the childish "Lets NUKE it." Of course there are some events like...*shiver* porch day. But you move on. And the mods are great, and I've got to say, the flood prepares everyone on how to handle the internet who stays on it long enough. Regulars(floodians) really know how to handle situations, including me. What you call a "troll" is detected right away, you can't get away with anything. We even rate people (like 1/10) on how well you fell for it. Theres nothing wrong, plus it keeps all the stuff you don't like in one forum. Plus almost everyone there has coup, so it looks cool :P

From,
A concerned floodian

Canada isn't that important that it needs two of the same threads on page one.

It really needs to go. All of this Swag Bag spam is unbearable and all people do is complain.

The beta is super awesome. RogueAssassin27 is now the person who got my Totodile's nickname. Hoo-hah! Relevant.inb4lock

Can we just say no to nuking? I mean seriously, this is just a bunch of bananas...

No because nukes are fun toys.

By that logic, we should also nuke the Halo:Reach forum.

Sure, it sounds great now, but think about it. All those mindless flamers have to go somewhere, right? They'll leave that spam pit, and come to the better, more clean forums and turn them into spam pits. That's why nuking any forum is a bad idea, at least the popular ones.

I think you missed my sarcasm, Taco.

I don't know why the fact that this post is in the Bungie Community forum needs to be emphasised, the only reason it's here at all is because this is the most appropriate forum for this topic, at first I was thinking of posting this in the flood but then decided that here is a more appropriate place.

Not really, actually I was expecting this thread to just sink into obsqurity.

Actually the last "without a doubt" organised attack actually happened sometime this year.

(Read a little into the thread, the flood DDoS'd the site just by trying to spam it so much, then the spamming got so bad the admin pinned a topic saying "Bungie.net users are not welcome.")

Wouldn't rating a troll not only be feeding it but bumping up the thread and encouraging such behaviour?

KOTOR where this happens:
""I AM MAVIT DO NOT ERRUPT " and then..he vanished as did the fury, as did the violence, but in it's place, an everlasting love.

You may not believe me, but go outside on an autumn night, and you can hear...the whisper of the mavkit"

+1 nuke the flood

I love the flood. It's pretty much the edited 4Chan section of b.net. I'm okay with that. I've always been part of the floodorians, and where else could we talk about non-bungie related things?

Okay... so where do we talk about video games by other developers other than bungie? Do tell. It's a community for a reason, and you can only talk about so many bungie things without getting bored after a while.

Miranda: Any idea what it means?
Sgt. Johnson: Dear Humanity... we regret being alien bastards. We regret coming to Earth. And we most definitely regret that the Corps just blew up our raggedy-ass fleet!
Marines: Hoo-rah!

I lol'd.

OT: It's a double edged sword. Nuke it, and the Flood will spread elsewhere. The downside is that this means there will be a lot more work for the ninjas, and we love the ninjas. So that makes us sad. The upside is that, well, the Flood's gone.

Lurking like a baws. Totally. It's like totally important if I post because I barely post.

...

WHO EVEN LOOKS AT SIGNATURES ON BUNGIE.NET ANYWAY???

And who says that Bungie should nuke it, Septagon? Simply because it's a *gasp* OFF-TOPIC Forum?

Also, I have not seen a single attack in the first few pages of The Flood.

Also, why do you guys refer to the Flood as a horrible thing? The Flood is a great place to have random discussions. It's helluva a lot better than the Only say good things-I mean, the Reach Forum.

Balancing speed with visual fidelity.

Keep your eye on the responses in this thread and then tell me if The Flood should be nuked or not!!!

So far the few people who have answered have told how The Flood is their home on the internet and that they care about the forum.
Hopefully that trend continues and your viewpoint changes.

I don't see how it would/should change my viewpoint.

Balancing speed with visual fidelity.

You will see that most people really value The Flood and care about being a part of it, instead of the crazy trolls and spammers that you claim that the forum is filled with.

I could say the same thing about shock sites, doesn't mean the internet isn't better off without them.

And it doesn't mean that crazy trolls and spammers aren't the main proprietors of them either.

When the game is over, the king and pawn go into the same box

Whether we like it or not, I'm sure some forums will either be locked, merged, or just go away. I think that certain ones will remain, as they are not directly related to game content. I think the community and flood forums will still be around in some shape or form, but game related forums may have a dim future.

From here:

Forums are a slightly different story. I've been threatening Frankie with a plan to pump the raging river of Reach posts directly into the gentle waters of halo.xbox.com. We might be accustomed to the effervescent spray of polite insight that splashes up over our prow (and into our faces), but seeing as playlist support will be out of our hands, we'll likely prune some of our forums to avoid any undue confusion over who's at the helm of the ironclad USS Support. The final roster of forums isn't set in stone yet, but you should be prepared to see us wind down on this front. The pruning won't happen in the immediate short term, but certainly before the year is out.

  • 07.06.2011 8:26 AM PDT

This is a silly idea.

We should obviously use Agent Orange to take away their food supply. Then they'll be forced to submit!

But, really, this is silly.

Orchestrated attacks? Is the flood the next lulzsec or something? The people who think they're hot stuff in the flood are actually weak sauce, and most of the people just want to enjoy reading and participating in a couple interesting topics.

Why get rid of something that, in reality, hasn't done much harm?

I just saw a green monkey nut shot a small tan lizard(?) in a gunny sack.

The Flood would be perceived alot better if the kids who like to pretend they're on 4chan would actually just go to 4chan. You don't get to ruin a forum with your copypasta/spam/'attacks' because you're too immature to handle the real internet. Either go to the real thing or get out of the Flood. You're ruining it for the normal people that go there.

My mother is extremely upset! >/ I'm only 10 yrs old and should not be on Bungie!

The Flood is one of three places that still have civilized conversations and debates on this site (Granted its not always great but it is the off topic forum, give it some credit). Nuking it would just cause mass destruction.
exactly.
