Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

Sounds like a broken deadzone. But also it might be because Halo PC doesn't handle controllers very well at all.

You'd probably have similar problems even if it were a MS Xbox 360 controller.

Once (once!) I used a cheap gamestop controller for halo PC just to try it out, I got the same problems as CharleyCarter here. Halo PC was not designed with controllers in mind, although is still retains basic compatibility.

Learn it the right way dude, go for keyboard and mouse.

Have you calibrated your controller?
Go:
Devices and Printers - right click on your controller - game controller settings - properties - click on the setting tab - press calibrate and follow the instructions

Hope this helped :)

I don't understand why so many people have issues with their 360 controller on Halo PC. Mine works perfectly fine :).

Like he said though the deadzone is probably off. If there's a way to adjust it out of the game I would do so. That would fix it :)

I'm using a cheap $10 Xbox 360 controller that I bought from Gamestop. I use it for Halo 2 PC, Batman: Arkham Asylum, & Fallout 3: GOTY.

Maybe that is the case, considering 1st-party X360 controllers are decently built compared to many other PC gamepads. But I wouldn't know if they work well with HPC or not, because I play Halo PC like a PC gamer.

I tested this with my 360 Controller a while back which works fine on the console, with Halo PC, the axis's are a bit off at times and don't always react the way they should. Besides, why would you use a 360 controller on PC anyway ;)

There are a few games I use it for. I don't see much sense in playing Batman AA or later Tomb Raider games using a kb/m.

Who give beat down? We give beat down!

MadCats stuff sucks, get a wired Microsoft 360 controller and it'll work fine.

In case nobody has said it, this happens with the Xbox 360 controller as well. Just use a mouse and keyboard, it's the way the game is/was meant to be played.

Now that I think about it, a long time ago when I first got my 360, I had said MadKatz controller and played Halo PC with it from time to time for laughs. I also used it for emulation :P

Anyways, my point is, I think I had the same problem as you do after a while of use. It was honestly a piece of -blam!- anyways.
