So I just finished reading Cryptum, and I'm wondering how people get the idea that the precursors made the flood. I understand that in those last words the last precursor made it apparent that the forerunners annihilated the precursors and took the galaxy for themselves, but in no way shape or form does (at least to me) describe that the approaching Flood is their doing in revenge. Can anyone help me out? Maybe I'm just mis-reading inbetween the lines but... on the off chance I'm not, I've come to the community.

The flood was a project gone bad, a fail safe for when there was a civil war with the forerunners. There never was and then they flood didnt work so they shot it into space. Then the Forerunners had a war with the precursors and the Forerunners had no knowledge of the flood.

I lol'd at the absurd miscommunication that occurs whenever dibbs post something. Perhaps his brain is so highly evolved that he can no longer clearly communicate with lesser life forms, even among his own species.

This forum works very much like the U.S. government at this point in time. There is zero accountability, facts have entered the same realm of debate as opinions, and blathering on about a topic while have no real direction or facts to back your statements up has become an acceptable form of conversation.

Welcome!
