I never read the book, but on halo nation, according to the halo book Cryptum, the humans were once a high developed empire like the forerunners, and there was a human-forerunner war, until the forerunners devolved the human race.
Im still stuck on this theory myself, but i want to know what you think?

What do you mean theory? It is explicitly stated multiple times in the book to have occurred.

Like I think it was 202,000 years ago WE (humans) were technologically ahead of where we are now. We were on par with the prophets (can't remember the specie name) and we had a small war with them and ended it with an alliance.

In the Human-Forerunner War the prophets surrendered (I suppose that's when they began worshipping the Forerunners). The humans didn't back down and when we lost, as punishment, we were devolved into "cavemen" and all traces of our previous achievement was eradicated.

However, we had devoleped a cure to the Flood (the prophets had a problem with the Flood so they called the humans for help) but destroyed it before the Forerunner could get to it.

Who the heck said no? It clearly states in Cryptum that they did. This thread shouldn't even be happening.

I like the twist though. Who would've ever thought humans were advancedshmanigans before we were primitive? :o

IMO, Halo has never Had alot of twists... However, that was a very nice one and was very unexpecting to me. Hopefully the next two books will be just as good as Cryptum.( And Glasslands. )

Imagine a triangle. It's perfect, but a little plain. You take a chisel, and carve a small decorative symbol into it to make it a little more interesting. People like it, but it could use a little more.

So you then take a sledgehammer..

This reminds me of the "Do you believe the legendary planet is Reach" thread.

you should have to take a halo universe quiz on common halo facts before you post
