Subject: Semi-Bypass the Profanity Filter?

Hi.

I need this cleared up. Are we allowed to?

Example:

(Assume "screwed" is the word being filtered)

>Unfiltered: We're screwed
>Filtered: We're -blam!-
>Semi-Bypassed: We're -blam!-ed
___________

Basically, just making the word more predictable through context.

Yes, no? I'm guessing it's fine, but I want to be certain.

id say its fine. I do it all the time. -blam!- can really ruin what im trying to say. Sometimes i need -blam!-ing or -blam!-ed.

Whoo.

I don't see why not, the profanity is the -blam!- anyway, plus you're not really saying the profanity you're just adding a suffix to it to match your wording better.

For instance, if you assume that screwed and bolted are -blam!-ed out, then saying "We're -blam!-ed" could be referancing either word so you're not really bypassing the filter because you're not making the word you're adding the suffix too clear at all.

READ IT.

I won the Star. With this on Week 18.

I would say semi-bypassed is more...

Bit-blam!-ch!

Just an example...

So -Potato!- would become -Potato!-ed?

I like it :)

Hello! You may also know me as Ijnekono. How you have made your way here I do not know, but welcome. (:

The filter should be automatically on for everyone, but able to be turned off based on if you are a member of appropriate age or not. <-- Relevant? Maybe. I think semi-bypassed is sh-blam-. Just cut off the last half of a bad word and replace it with -blam-.

No, that's a bad idea. How many times have you put you were 18 just to see a video when you weren't 18? same would work for this site. Everyone would be 18.

It should at least be in private groups though.
