who thinks being able to go prone (laying down) would be a good idea in Halo 4?

You'd be better off posting this here. Bungie's having nothing to do with Halo anymore, so your idea will go unheard here.

You mean like all the forge prones in Halo 3? :-p

The whole "prone" thing has had some good implementations and some bad ones in different games. I don't think it's really enough to simply ask if the mechanic should be included without some other specifics.

No, ExcessiveFaun6 is not my real gamertag.

Cortana: The message just repeats. "Regret, Regret, Regret."
Miranda: Any idea what it means?
Sgt. Johnson: Dear Humanity... we regret being alien bastards. We regret coming to Earth. And we most definitely regret that the Corps just blew up our raggedy-ass fleet!
Marines: Hoo-rah!

I'd have to agree with this. The biggest issue it presents is that it encourages more static game play with less movement. One of the biggest complaints from Halo 2 to Halo 3 is that game play slowed down; I doubt the general fan base would support it.

And I have to say it... let's not move towards being a CoD-like shooter.

True. Unfortunately, I'm sure the commercial success of the CoD series hasn't gone unnoticed by some at Microsoft. I can't find the article, but I believe somewhere it is mentioned that they would like to release games on a quicker schedule. While I'm not sure if this means annual releases, or the mimicking of certain game play elements, I'm sure we'll see titles more frequently than every couple of years.
