If you didn't Play Halo: CE or Halo 2 MP, your opinion about Halo means nada.

CE + H2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>> H3+Reach+H4

Yes there is a way. Its called the blacklist, it shows all the cheaters/boosters

And you're a Staff Captain in H3. I doubt it.

From what I've heard, he's the real deal. I also heard someone made a guy named Wa2do (similar to his name) and then he hacked that guy and boosted off his level." -From Minou on Bungie.net

You're definitely one of the few then. Everyone that I knew that had around a 30 in halo 2 got a 50 in halo 3 without much difficulty. I never broke 30 in halo 2, and I got a 50 in halo 3. Granted, in most playlists I could never get too much above 45, but still. I definitely think a level 30 in halo 2 is equivalent to or better than a 50 in halo 3.

It's probably due to the fact that H2 was the easiest Halo of all time (IMO) and I played more games of H2 on one tag than games of H3 on 3 tags.

Can you be more specefic?
All players are on an even playing field, so i can't get your post to make much sense.

My connection was awesome = host advantage in H2 is massive
Auto aim
Bullet magnetism
Double shot
BxR
Noob combo
Swipe Sniping

It was pretty easy imo

I can follow you on the host thing. Such an advantage is on all non server based games, although it was quite massive in Halo 2.

All players had Auto aim, Aim assist, could DS, BxR, Swipe snipe and use the PR/green gun combo.
Thats what i meant with an even playing field. It dosen't really make the game harder or easiere, because all players had the same tools. But the players skills is what determined who would win the game.

Honestly, I think Halo CE takes the most skill, then halo 2, then 3, then reach. They just got easier as they came out.

They are on an even playing field but it's much easier regardless

Just because you're on an even playing field doesn't mean it's balanced. Look at splockets. Everyone spawns with the same weapons, but it's unbalanced as fuck

  • 07.09.2011 1:20 PM PDT

But that is just weapon setup. I don't know what splockets is, but it sounds like one of Bungies silly matchmaking setups.

A lot of Halo 2's matchmaking was unbalanced, but hardcore did a lot of things better, and MLG had much much better balance.

Splockets was an Action Sack gametype. All Rockets and Spartan Lasers. Even playing field. Completely unbalanced.

Hardcore and MLG provided more weapon balance, but the problem with H2 didn't lie there; the core mechanics were severely flawed as evidenced by the amount of rage videos on YouTube.

half agree

HALO C.E's shotgun was the strongest, the shotgun gets worse throughout the series (3's shotgun should have a longer range, faster reloading time and do more damage IMO, but reaches shotgun was even worse then 3) so it was easier to get kills in C.E with the shotgun then any other HALO.

but sniping in HALO C.E was the hardest, the weapons felt slow and heavy when you aim it around so headshots were alot harder to get + the sniper in C.E (you all know this) only does 25 - 33 damage. the sniper in the rest of the series does 99 damage + sniping is easier (especially in 2)so alot more kills in other games.

single wielded, the plasma rifle and needler in 2 take more skill then C.E, but the PP is still the same assuming your firing it rapidly.

against players the rocket launcher in 2 is still balanced with its previous counterpart: it does less damage and the explosion radius is smaller but you aim around faster with it and it reloads faster. against vehicles 2's rocket launcher is obviously superior and takes less skill though.

vehicles in C.E are equal to 2's vehicles as well. their handling is sluggish and heavy in C.E but that doesnt matter since it splatters enemies by simply touching them.

vehicles are faster in 2 and afterwards, particularly covy vehicle which have the boost ability excluding the wraith, they handling is alot easier as well: feels smooth, swift and light when i brake, strafe or stop as opposed to that heavy feeling in C.E but its performance in splattering hasn't improved since it's more realistic, you have to hit the enemy with greater force the lighter your vehicle is, and attempting to spatter them must be timed correctly depending on how good you are at splattering/how good they are at dodging or jacking/ whether they have seen you and how much health they have.

The one thing Reach has is based on connection an equal playing ground. Of course AA tosses that out of the window, but H3 and H2 had massive host advantage that can not be denied. No Halo game online has offered a true equal playing field, hence "ONLINE WARRIORS".

No if you play them on lan it's not even close. CE is the only one that takes skill and Halo 3 takes a little skill. Halo 2 and Reach take absolutely no skill.

Host has better autoaim and everything appears as it is becuase there is no lag. It makes all the little things fit in easier such as swipe sniping. You can not really notice it because of how massive and common it is, but the host in Halo 2 especially has a huge advantage in all areas of gameplay.

the AR in 3 took skill to use IMO but the AR in reach is -BLAM!-, i never get kills with it, never have been killed by someone using it

Halo Reach host has less bloom, Halo 3 hosts have hitscan when everyone else has BS hit detection, WTF kind of point are you trying to make. EVERY P2P game has host ADV

There is no hitscan in Halo 3. You lead your shots because of bullet spread. WTF are you talking about?
