To me it seems like they are going easy on the other teams. Just my opinion though.
Does anyone else think the same?

Hi.

Why would you think that?

  • 07.07.2011 10:44 AM PDT

The beta is super awesome. RogueAssassin27 is now the person who got my Totodile's nickname. Hoo-hah! Relevant.inb4lock

Go away.

I thought that at first... Bet then after watching the live stream, it doesn't really seem like it.

Just watching the stream, they seem to be playing awkwardly.

I think they have to switch people in and out on the team and some Bungie peeps aren't as good as others.

Well it's not like they're going to play 100% hardcore style for 24 hours straight. They're probably just playing for fun now, if they weren't from the start.

There's a vast variety of folks playing from across the company. As a general rule of thumb, some of the best players are from Test and Design, while other groups like art and engineering tend to be a good deal weaker. (There are definately exceptions to this rule, with good and bad players in each category though).

Expect to see a lot of variance in skill across the day, but we are all having a good time celebrating.

I think odds are pretty good of handing out some steak when my turn comes up: Most of my time is spent in server-land, and not with the game.

Theres a quote from the Reach forum. Someone made a topic that said Bungie really sucks at Reach and RocketMoose, a bungie employee who works with the servers, replied with that.

Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

I suspect that this challenge is being treated similar to a "free drinks at work" day and your time spent playing is like being assigned duty in the dunk tank at a fair.

You know that sooner or later you're going to get soaked, might as well live it up and enjoy it.

I've been watching the stream and they've had plenty of opportunities to get kills but they wouldn't take them.

Oh, come on, guys, this isn't that serious.

But there's huge things at stake here.

Players egos or steaks that are already paid for?

Whoo.

They are alternating players, maybe some employees just have butterfingers. :P

What would they do with all those steaks if they had their !-team playing all day? Eat them?!

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

Bungie is just terrible at Reach. Nuff said.

I like shorts. They're comfy and easy to wear.

I wonder what happens when the World steaks Bungie.

The Steaks, I mean if Bungie are left with no steaks then some of the employees may have some beef with eachother & that could end up with a meaty fight :/.

Oh hey there

It's a metaphor for the 07s' lack of identity. too old to be newfag, yet too new to be oldfag, we wander b.net in search of a home, forever trying to be something we are not.

They will do what they did in the last Bungie vs World competition, save their best teams for late at night and storm back.

  • 07.07.2011 12:06 PM PDT

Pwned

Maybe its a drinking game. Every time someone dies they take a drink. They had one bad game now their slotched.

  • 07.07.2011 12:19 PM PDT

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

I'm sure they'll put their hardcore rotation on later.

I broke one of the cords for my X11s because I couldn't get past the final American course in Doritos Crash Course.

They have around 10 teams on rotation, some suck, some rock - the score is going to fluctuate a few times over the day.

I have a Twitter

i wouldn't expect a bunch of guys to play hardcore all the time, they're celebrating after all

This.

And it wouldn't be fun if Bungie tried to win as many games as possible since it's hard to Steak a team of halfway capable gamers.
