I think it will be good. 343 are made up of either ex Bungie members or people who live and breath Halo. They know what's good and whats bad, and even though i will miss Bungie, i am also looking forward to see what 343 will do. :)

Agreed, I think they are the core of Halo. With them working on Halo 4, I think the series will rise up and become gradually better again :D

The Few, The True, The crew

remember ChiFighter= k+eye+fighter

I really think Halo 3. Finished the series, the ending was really perfect. The open ending wasn't made for a sequel, it was a literary device to spark your imagination and to let people think what ever they want.

Even if the game would techniquely "good", every story has an end and 3 was the perfect, tailor made ending that was started in combat evolved.

So its "Halo 4: Start Another Fight" ?

Umm if you even read the terminals you would know that a new trilogy was being shouted at us; bungie said themselves they were going to do halo 4 but decided on doing reach.

Thank god

No,there is more...

And some people like me would be driven to crazy if there wouldn't be a Halo 4 as we know the story is far from finished. You realise that the Human-Covenant war conflict is finished and not the rest(Hint:Halo Ancients)

Am I supposed to write something funny here?

If you mean Jason Jones, he's still at Bungie.

And for the people who don't know, 343 has only 4 or 5 five ex-Bungie employees.

That's good cocoa.

I thought Halo 3 had the perfect ending to the trilogy and that it should be left alone.I do believe that Halo 4 will be a good game, but it is a little disappointing that they are continuing Chief's story.

Well now there is a new trilogy.

A lot of people have been saying that halo 4 will be a disaster without Bungie, but let's consider a few things. First of all: Halo is Microsoft's little money-maker so there's no way they're going to let it die off. Now I know what some of you are thinking: Microsoft is just gonna milk Halo dry. However, 343 industries was made for the sole purpose of maintaining the franchise and that's what they'll be dedicated to. By now you you might be thinking a few things: Either a) They just don't have Bungie's experience or b) They are probably made up of people who just don't care about Halo. But remember that 343 is led by Frank o'connor, the former content manager at Bungie. Also a number Of Bungie employees stayed with 343 to continue working on halo so that means they have some Bungie experience on their side. As for scenario b, some of the employees were fervent fans of halo and were the creators of halo fansites before joining 343. Also, we've already seen great examples of their work with halo evolutions and halo cryptum. With the talent of former Bungie employees and fervent fans of halo on their team along with microsoft's money. I believe 343 has what it takes to make halo 4 good.

I heard Jason Jones didn't want to work on Halo, after 2, so he began work on Bungie's next project whilst the rest worked on the following Halo games.

On Halo 4, I think it's a good thing that Bungie's not working on it. I think they've run out of steam, regarding Halo, and 343 look primed to delivering something special. The love, passion and excitement you get from them reassures me. So many interviews I've heard them talk and thought 'yeah, they get it'. I'm most excited about the story-telling. I feel they'll deliver a lot on that aspect, which is great. The games needed to improve more in that regard. I'm also looking forward to them tying the books, and other pieces of Halo media, with the games; making the lore feel more complete. Less separate.

Mhmm, I don't think that Halo 4 will be disaster. It might be in good hands since Frank is here with 343i among two more ex-bungie employee at 343 industries. IMO, Halo franchise is in good future for now.

I felt better when I heard that bungie once wanted to do Halo 4 but it never happened (which halo 4 would be ruined if it happened in few years ago...! ) and decided to do Reach.

Meh, I thought ODST was okay and Wars was good for a console RTS.

  • 07.07.2011 5:44 PM PDT

ODST was a great game.

  • 07.07.2011 5:47 PM PDT

343 pretty much IS Bungie. Besides, looking at the defiant map pack, and the Halo: CE remake, it looks like they'll do a pretty good job.

after halo 2, every bungie game has sucked, 343 is just ex-bungie employees so idk

Can't get any worse than halo 3

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Well...it actually looks like Halo is in better hands, so far. Nobody can be sure, though. We'll just have to wait and see.

Hopefully under the stewardship of 343i, Halo 4 will be a very good game, and possibly even better then the Bungie Halos, as the goal of a game is to make it better and better with each entry. I have complete faith that 343i will make an amazing game, and that the multiplayer will be fantastic. I'll miss the Bungie Halos, but they've moved on to their next project, which I eagerly await.
