Subject: What is the Minimum age a kid should play halo?

Im tired of this whiney -blam!- Sterotype, I am not 12 or under though.

  • 07.07.2011 8:17 PM PDT

But yeah I have had my fair share of annoying kids.

  • 07.07.2011 8:19 PM PDT

(Bungie > 343i)

Well, by law in the US it's 17. That's just to purchase the game though.

  • 07.07.2011 8:22 PM PDT

But to play it is what I mean.

There shouldent be a "Age Minimum" dont get me wrong annoying kids get on my nerves also.. but everyone deserves to play this amazing game.. Words of Truth,

(Bungie > 343i)

If a kid wants to play it and their parent/guardian allows them, then there is no problem. It really doesn't effect how I percieve the game.

I would say 12, at least, this was the age I was when I first played Combat Evolved, well no actually I was 11, but your average 10 year old could not cope with it I don't think...

  • 07.07.2011 9:47 PM PDT

o-DEATH-o

Thats true cuz ive met some people of 13 age that are mature enough to handle and talk with

I would say about eight years old. It's a science fiction. It's no worse than watching a Star Wars film. Other games with the same rating have people being decapitated or having their bodies torn apart. All Halo has is a few colours that get painted on to the ground. You don't even shoot other humans except in multiplayer, and even then it's basically like fighting robots. However, playing online provides a very different experience.

Well, the reason Halo is rated "M" for "Mature" in the US is Blood, Gore, Violence (possibly language), but from playing it, there's not too much gore (Most of the gore is the Flood), or blood for that matter.

I would have to say 13.

Me too, but I didn't find out what it was called until over one year later. My sister was six at the time and she also played it.

I do not have a problem with the age of players. You could be 5 years old for all I care. The fact of the matter is microphone usage. I think I have mute way more 13 and under than any other age group Reach and Halo 3.

The Joyeuse IP Formula

That isn't actually a law, it's actually industry standard. The California law is moot.

Anti-Teabag self-destruct mechanisms ftw

It only matters who the kid is.

A proud member of the Clan FORSAKEN RANGERS. I'm Co-Leader of this clan who expects one thing, to have members willing to play along side of me, good or bad

when i started with halo, i was 8. I realized the frustation that endure with Halo. I recommand at least 10+ which is when Halo 2 was out and I was more mature then. But some british kids need to 16 immature ppl who sound like Bieber the entire time

"I am Scourge, Leader of BloodClan, and I have won!"

It really all depends on who the kid is. For example i have a friend on live no older than 10, and he is pretty cool. He really will only talk if were all in a private party, if not he mutes other players. It really just depends on the kid.
