Hmmm, I don't know what to say...

Personally (and I say personally), I was really let down. Aerospace is okay in all, but it really doesn't affect me. It would have been better if they released the info on bungie day. Which is another thing. Urk told us a few weeks ago what we could expect on bungie day. Unfortunately, the big things such as the Aerospace reveal and the ViDoc were either released prematurely (Aerospace) or too late (the ViDoc).

If Aerospace and the ViDoc would have been released on bungie day, I and many others would have been satisfied.

I started up the heated debate on whether the SPARTAN-II in the cryo tube near the end of Reach is really Linda.
I created the Moa XING avatar pic.
Also I earned the All Star nameplate with this submission to Week 14 All Stars http://www.bungie.net/images/News/Inline11/bwu_0415/art/likea boss.jpg

The only thing I hated about Bungie day was the fact that the All-Star nameplate was given out to pratically anybody. I actually earned that damn nameplate. But other than that, I loved Bungie's going away present.
Even though I didn't get steak, I did get fun (and blue flames.)

Are you gonna cry now?

Aerospace
If the community didn't speculate their asses off and blow Aerospace up into some giant thing that it was never destined to be it wouldn't have looked like a massive letdown. Bungie didn't hype Aerospace in the least. They acknowledged it existed and gave a reveal date. Aerospace was never meant to be something that gave huge benefits to individual members.

I'm fine with Bungie Day. It doesn't compare to Cold Storage and that awesome Bungie theme but I'll manage this year. Next year will probably have even less going on.

It just goes to show you how high Bungie has raised the bar if anyone can view this as a disappointment.

Wow, thats actually a really good point. I guess all of the good work they've done for us made us expect more than they could give us right now.
Especially since they made Halo. I mean come on there only a few gaming company that do this sort of stuff. Any one who thinks that this was a bad Bungie Day are all greedy (Insert blam here).

This community is -blam!- ing retarded. Goodbye.

I'll post my Swag Bag pictures when I get it, otherwise I'm done with this stupidity.

I agree with everything. I tried for hours to get the Bag O' Swag but, I never got one. Although, that wasn't Bungie's fault. That was Amazon's. Then, the new swag that came out on Bungie day is posters. Posters that'll just get ruined in a few years. Then their's the Bungie Day Playlist. I played that for about 18 hours. Why? To beat play with Bungie and maybe get steak. I've never played with a Bungie employee before so I thought that'd be sweet if I could even if I didn't get steak. But, I just wasted my entire day. I wasted 2 weeks from trying to get the Bag O' Swag, to tyring to play with Bungie. I was going to go to Kansas but, I has already made a Bungie day team and, I wasn't going to bail on them. But, some of my family still went to Kansas. They went to the Salt Mines. I like caves so, it would've been amazing if I went. And they went to the zoo. I haven't been to the zoo in a while so, that would've been great. So, you may call me a whiny, ungrateful, little, kid but, I just wasted hours upon hours doing stuff that Bungie got me all hyped for only to be very very disapointed. I wish now that I could turn back time and just not do any of that crap. This has actually been one of the worst couple of weeks in my life. Anyways, thanks Bungie for hyping me up about this only to crush those dreams away.

Oh yeah, I forgot abput Areospace. I was, like many others, expecting Bungie's next awesome game. But, then it's just helping other's with their games?!? I honestly don't care about that. I don't even have a cellphone.

I guess the only up-side was that I reached the credit cap for the first time ever. But, if I could, I still would turn back the clock.

Another thing I forgot about. The Star Nameplate. I finally won Bungie All-Stars on week 20. But, then a few days later, they give it out to anyone that has an iphone or accses to one. Or anyone that will give it to you.

And the Vidoc. It's coming August 2nd?!?!?

You're a disappointment.

I suppose I'll address each of you concerns, but I'll preface with this; I did not get a Swag bag, wasn't able to be paired with Bungie, less much earn a steak.

Steaks:
The point of Bungie day wasn't about getting a steak. Steaks aren't these rare food items that can only be obtained through Bungie. The point of Bungie day was for the community and Bungie to have fun.

Aerospace:
I'll admit Aerospace wasn't what I expected, but I think it's a noble prospect that Bungie is going to give developers that otherwise didn't have a chance an opportunity to show off their creative talent. With all the treyarchs in the industry, the newer talent needs some conduit, and Bungie is perfect.

Swag Bags:
There was a huge demand for Swag Bags, and there wasn't a huge supply. There's really not much more Bungie could have done. I don't think they were manufacturing these swag Bags at a factory for as many people as possible. Sure, I may have wanted one, but I just have to accept the reality of the situation.

Flames:
First off, I had the blue flames when I would get a message after every game asking me if I was either a Bungie employee or whether they could play with me in matchmaking. However, with that joyous day, I also knew that this would be temporary. The flames were for players who wanted to show their love for Bungie and Halo, and the number of those players aren't a select few.

For the record, it wasn't me the entire time you saw the ACHS service tag (although it was me on the live stream from 1 to 2pm). At least one group kept using that tag after I played.

But I'm kind of surprised I didn't do worse - I haven't played for a while (no Internet at home right now, long story) and expected most of the games to go like the first game (I think it was like 50-15 or something).

But despite the pounding we took, I enjoyed every one of those games - everybody was cool, talkative, having fun. Reminds me why I like my job - the vast majority of you are good people and I'm glad that you're fans of the games we make.

Enjoy the steaks, and sorry we couldn't get the Vidoc out today as originally planned... but it will be better for it.

I saw Achronos get beat by everyone he played, and he got beat hard. Totally worth watching.

Your a disappointment to Bungie and Halo

Hearts are in order. To be fair if I wasn't feeling so goddamned mellow/depressed I would give OP at least one hemisphere of my mind. Not as bad as I did to the iggnorant gueta that said "What's Bungie Day?" IN THE FLUFFING PLAYLIST.

God was I angry.

You know, I think that OP's post is moot unless he can name another studio that put on such fanfare.

Valve. Valve gives out free -blam!- all he time. You can email Gabe asking for a thing or two or an autograph and end up with a box of goodies. All Bungie did was go into a playlist, anything else Valve has been doing for years.
Proof that Gabe hands out free stuff?

He gave me the CSS Closed Beta

That's what I got from him, I don't remember/know any other examples.

Oh, and scroll down to Hale Mail

When he was younger, he was the one who always had the jokes and riddles that would keep the spirits of the Spartans high. Over the years however, his lifetime of combat had hardened him, as it had all of the Spartans. Within Will, John thought, something special had been lost.

Everything will be gone long before me. When the first living thing was born, I was here, waiting. When the last living thing dies, my job is finished. I'll put the chairs on the tables, turn out the lights and lock the universe behind me when I leave.

I was just hoping for info on their new universe or more info on aerospace.

They gave us 20 years of their life, and made over 10 games, 5 games being part of possibly the most revolutionary FPS game of all time.

I think that is the gift, no number of Bungie Days could surpass their care for the community and the time they have devoted to making games they know we want.

bueno solo espero enfrentarlos espero que oportunidades así vuelvan a pasar aunque muchos no jugaron contra ellos, espero que pase nuevamente

I too was really disappointed in Bungieday. I agree with every gripe stated so far and add that I had more fun on those super jackpot weekends than I did in the bungieday playlist. I mean, they could have at least done something funner than straight up slayer.

You could have tried going outside at some point as well. There really is no point to your complaints considering you knew about all of this weeks before ti actually happened. What you did in those weeks was get yourself excited. I think a large percentage of people did this. You should just be glad they did anything at all. Many companies don't do anything every year.

That doesn't prove anything. Bungie had an open Beta, and if you can reach Bungie, they might throw something you're way too. I know of a couple of people who randomly went to Bungie's studio and got stopped by Jerome, they explained that they were fans, and then they got a studio tour with some gift bags.

Bungie is the only studio that does something special for all the fans. This year has been the best bungie day yet. If you think about the previous bungie days, this one definitely takes the cake with everything they've been doing.

Bungie name plate
All star name plate
Bungie Mobile
Marathon for iPad
Aerospace
Blue Flames
Avatar
Helping charity
Numerous items in the store
Selling swag bags worth more than the asking price
Making a special playlist in Reach
Playing with the community
giving the people who Steaked bungie 2 Steaks
Revamped homepage
And the ViDoc (Still counts because it was intended for today, just things happened and it had to get pushed back)
